THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY BEST FRESHMAN; THE LUCKY 7

The 2029 Class in the state of New Jersey is very interesting. There is tons of talents and tons of potential. When players are young we never know the final outcome. That usually comes down to kids work ethic and inner circle. One thing we all know is true. Once they get to high school, nobody cares about age and hype anymore outside bloggers, family and friends. These days coaches want ready man players.

Never pay attention to what others tell you about Freshman. Because often there parents and inner circle are searching for hype, development is secondary. They chase the All Star games, showcases and hype videos. Many are constantly on the move and never truly get locked in due to a lack of trust. Making excuses and wanting credit is the narrative. Remember jealousy and attention is what drives many talented freshman and what separates the great ones from the ones that were supposed to be great and never were…. YOU BE WISE TO FOLLOW MY LEAD HERE AND LISTEN

When it comes to freshman. I want to know that players improvement curve from year to year. I want to know if they love the game. I ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION to their inner circle and availability. Finally don’t talk to me about great freshman if they can’t shoot. That is always a deal breaker.

ANGELYN ALMONTE- DEPAUL CATHOLIC– There is no debate who is the best 2029 in New Jersey. She is not just a super talent. She has the perfect attitude with the perfect inner circle. Her parents are not chasing hype. They won’t be bouncing from team to team. They simply want to enjoy the experience. She is a future MICKEY D All American prospect. She has multiple D1 offers on the table already. She is Far and away THE CLASS GOAT

ELLA KRYAL- TRINITY HALL– She is the perfect example of what hard work can do for a young player. No player in the 2029 class has elevated there stock more. Ella Kryal’s improvement curve has been massive. She is and elite shooter, maybe the best in the 2029 class. She is without question the best passing freshman in the state. Her physical growth has been stunning and natural. She is the ultimate gym rat and spent the entire summer in camp working on amongst all her skills her defense was a focal point. She has elevated her game. She is a virtual lock for SHORE CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR. She is focused and prepared. This is a player will will cause a major recruiting war. IVY AND PATRIOT schools start your engines.

ANNIE GENTILE- HUDSON CATHOLIC– This is what the real deal looks like. Her ball handling skills and ability to score are special. Watching her at times is breathtaking. That’s because she can be the ultimate play maker or scorer. She can perform at the highest level of competition regardless of the opponent’s age or reputation. This young lady takes them all on and never ducks the competition. She can score in pick roll or drop dimes. She is an elite finisher and decision maker in transition. Susie Gentle is a high major D1 lock future starter. She will be a future four year starter at Hudson Catholic and 1000 point scorer before being named All STATE ONE ONE DAY.

SUMAIYAH LASHLEY- RED BANK CATHOLIC- You will hard pressed to find a freshman more physically imposing, and filled with more potential. Sue’s leadership skills simply are on a different level. She will improve any culture. Here ability to relate to peers and coaches are worth points. She is explosive and strong in a way you just don’t see in other freshman. Injuries has stalled her progress the last few months. But she has returned and looks to get back on track. There is a real chance if she puts it all together, she could make a case as the best Freshman in the state. The talent is certainly there. Her shooting has shown real flashes of improvement and she is in the most competitive high school environment in New Jersey. All that should serve her well in the long run. She is a future lock D1 player. The question is what level? She could be the best story of all in the end

NAIMA MORALES SOLIVAN- GIL BERNARD – When the end game comes rolling around in 4 years. She just may be the class goat. Thats because the consistency of her development has been different than everyone else in the class. She has developed a different skill set each year. First it was the three point shot, they it was the physical play, they was ball handling and this summer the ability to to score with both hands. She has proven she can play against older D1 competition. She has tough skin and is insanely coachable. She will make any sacrifice to get in the gym. Her basketball IQ and willingness to do the details is shocking for a player so young. The term “speak softly and carries a big stick” never applied more than right here. This is a player with a huge future!

SOPHIA FEENEY- BAYONNE – Her handle is electric and she has an advanced IQ. She see the follow and is highly competitive. Now what can she do against elevated older competition? We don’t know yet. But she clearly has a PHD .. Passion…Hungry and Driven attitude. She can knock down shots and break defenses down. She does the intangibles like 50/50 balls, deflections and hustle place. In other words she does the winning shit. She has multiple D1 offers on the table. She is showtime at its best

NA ALABA- CHEROKEE– Her older sister Bre is one of the best in the state and off to BOSTON U. Nadia just may exceed all her sister’s accomplishments. She is long, athletic and confident. She has all the tools to be a star. She has the quickness to the rim, the pull up game and the three point jumper. Her ability to score under pressure is really a gift. Her handle will allow her to play the Point Guard position one day. Her versatility will be a major asset. Playing in South Jersey will hurt her hype wise. But playing for a future hall a fame coach in RON POWELL will not hurt her development and march towards greatness.. GAME OVER HYPE. She traveled 4 hours a night to play for the Shoreshots. That says it all about her level of commitment. This is a future ROCK STAR!
