THE 5 BEST PLAYERS IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY BY CLASS..
Today I will give you my TOP 5 PLAYERS in each class in the state of New Jersey. Now keep in mind, there are many players I have not seen. In fact some who may belong on this list. Covering an entire state is not like covering the Shore.
Now I have seen many kids and let me say this. Some highly thought of kids are strictly the result of hype and not performance. This list is not based on potential. It’s based on right now, not tomorrow. Some kids rack up numbers vs bad competition. I factor in talent, skill level and competitiveness. If a player is talented and has a true track record against top competition, they can make this list. THERE IS NO WEALTH SHARING OR FAVORITES. I have no problem picking a number of players from the same school or area. Again I never share the wealth. I WILL NEVER TAKE SOMEONE’S OPINION ABOUT A PLAYER I HAVE NOT SEEN!!!

2026

ADDY NYEMCHEK- RBC– She is the clsss goat. She has won everything there is to win. She is the most humble superstar since Madison St. Rose. There is not much left to about this talented “bad women” .. she is committed to INDIANA UNIVERSITY

MADISON KOCIS- SJV– She is efficient and reliable in big moments. She is big strong and mobile. She has stepped up her game each year and now has the POY in her sights. She will attend the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School

TESSA LIGGIO- RBC– She is the best conductor we have seen in a decade in the Shore Conference. She has out played just about every top guard in the state. She is the ultimate winner and leader. She will attend Bucknell University

STELLA LOCKHART- SJV– Over years she has continued to step up her game. She is versatile and is physically imposing. She not not just skilled but dominant as well. She is a big winner that has proved she can put a team on back. Do not be surprised if she in the State POY race. Stella, will attend Georgetown University.

KATIE LIGGIO- RBC– She has done it all and the bigger the game the bigger the performance. Her state final championship game is just one example. One of the best shooters in RBC history, she may break the three point shooting record. KATIE will attend the University of of RHODE ISLAND

EL- ANITA- JOE- SAMMUEL-LENAPE– There is no question about her talent. She is explosive and highly competitive. She has a chance to one day make a run at Player of the year. She can play inside or out and mutiple positions. She currently holds D1 offers

JAX ELDERMAN- MORRIS CATHOLIC- Many say she is the best player in the 2027 class. One thing is clear, nobody has elevated there game more year to year. She is a big time shooter and has a college body right now. She may be one of the most dedicated players in the entire state. This is a rock star at the next level. She has multiple high major D1 offers

BROOKE STAGLIANO- PAUL VI- The bigger the game, the game the bigger the performance. She is one of the best shooters in the the state. But it’s her IQ that really stands out. She simply understands how to play. She has expanded her game and has received a number of high major and P5 D1 offers.

ALEAH SUNKINS- FRANKLIN- She is a big time athlete like her father who was once a D1 player. She is coachable and is a serious problem below the foul line. As her ability to step away and shoot the ball improves the sky is the limit. She is a workhorse and gym rat. She currently holds D1 offers

KYLEE BEAM- HOWELL – Her skill level and ability to play inside of out is special. But it’s her ability to put the pull on the deck that is so shocking because of college ready body. She is a excellent passer with a scary competitive nature. But above all the that is she shines against elite D1 competition. She currently has D1 offers on the table
2028
*special note to college coaches, this class is stacked. It would be unfair to list 5 players so we give you 7

HAYLEY BENBO- RUTGERS PREP– I believe is a possible top 25 player in the country one day. She clearly the GOAT of the ’28 class. She has a college body, next level elite quickness and is unguardable at the high school level. She has excellent shooting range and pit bull on defense. She is one of the rare ones… she has P5 and P4 offers on the table.

ISLA FRY- IMMACULATE– The body jumps off the page. The skills and talent are hard to miss. She has developed in to a knock it out shooter though hard work. She is murder below the foul line as she punishes smaller guards. She is a future high major starter

GIANNA SANO- SJV- Quickness from the havens and a handle the is pure magic. Her passing vision is masterful. Despite her size, she is very athlete and can rise above defenders. She is a excellent defender and has a real next level IQ. She is a coach on the floor with serious skills and talent

ANTONIA JACKSON- SJV– She has the type of body P5 schools dream about. She is a grown woman playing again little girls at times. Her ability to pass the ball is a gift and like so many SJV guards, she can post up smaller guards. She can play all three guard positions and excel. This is a future star at the next level.

ARI WISSEN- BRICK TWP- She is flat out a walking bucket and deadly shooter to 30 feet. Her pull game is a master class for all young players. She is strong and highly competitive. She is murder off all type ball screens. She was the Shore Conference freshman of the year.

AVA CANTANHO- EAST BRUNSWICK– Her body is the perfect basketball body. Tall , lead and athletic. She has a handle that can get her to any spot on the court she chooses at anytime. She is not just a excellent passer but an elite one at that. She will go down in history as one of the best in Middlesex history. She was first team all County as freshman last year. This is at worse a futute high major/ P5 player.

HAYLEY DEKOCK- HIGHTSTOWN– She could be one of the best shooters in the state at some point. Her range is from the parking lot. She uses shot fakes to get to the rim and finishes with either hand. She will score over 2000 points before her playing days are over. She is a future D1 lock
***Giovana Burness certainly has a case to be on this list. But I never include a player I have not seen against Top competition on multiple occasions
