ANTONIA JACKSON AND GIANNA SANO… IN A CLAS OF THEIR OWN
The 2028 Shore Conference class has shocked everyone. That’s because nobody could have predicted the rise in the number of gym rats and committed kids. It has seem to come from out of the blue. They have gone from a bunch of unknowns to one of the deepest and most talented classes in years. Maybe it’s because they watched the 2026 class fulfill all expectations. Maybe it’s because they watched the 2027 class fail to understand what sacrifices look like. The 2028 has emerged because they have become gym rats with drama free parents and a commitment to fulfilling their talent. This class right now has a shocking 12 D1 players already. Yesterday I left two players off my ‘28 TOP 5 and for different reasons….GIANNA SANO ANTONIA JACKSON form a different list. There list is called one of a kind

There is no way I could have picked a Top 5 for the Shore ‘28 class. The class is simply too deep and more importantly too good. So it was easy to leave Gianna Sano and Antonia Jackson off the list. The SJV guards make up the best young backcourt we have seen since the Neptune days of Syl Davis and Shakeena Richardson, when two totally dominated the Shore Conference. I believe the SJV duo will do the same one day. That’s because both have something you can’t teach. First their like-ability is off the charts. They are well like by everyone and not perceived as threats, to teammates, peers and coaches. They both are coachable, they both love the game. See these two are not mega talented players looking for praise and hype. You see there parents are just that …parents not fans! Now when is the last time you’ve seen mega star YOUNG PLAYERS whose parents are willing to let their kids be coached and treated like every other kid? Not always looking for next best thing. Trying to control the environment, jumping from team to team? Well if you want to know where Antonia and Gianna get their ability to rise and play though adversity, start with their parents. They you’ll understand and see the picture more clearly.
Now Antonia Jackson is coming off a First Team All FRESHMAN SEASON. She just spent an entire year in one of the best practice environments in the country. She was truly thrown to the woods in some mega games last season. No freshman played in bigger games with more pressure on her shoulders. But “Cheech” seemed to embrace the ups and downs along with the pressure and spotlight that’s comes for playing at SJV. It’s why watching her these days, it’s like watching a grown ass woman vs little girls. Her explosiveness at the rim, passing ability and talent is beyond next level. It destroys those around her regardless of age of reputation. This is why it would silly to put her in the Top 5 for the 2028 class. She would be Top 5 in just about any class. Antonia’ work ethic and ability to elevate her competitive nature is crazy. When I tell people she will be a P5 player. I say this meaning college coaches get the NIL checkbook out, it just a matter of time when she will be considered one of the best in the state. When talent meets hard work and hunger… it can get scary and Miss Jackson is scary. Forget Top 5 I’m d talking TOP 5 in the state!
GIANNA SANO is going to be the most dynamic guard in New Jersey at some point. I would never insult her by putting her on a Top 5 list. You see , GIAANA doesn’t love basketball, she lives for it. She sleeps, eats and dreams basketball. She is a throw back to years gone bye. That’s why when got injured and missed all season it was devastating to her. But it she back now and all is forgiven. She has put on a show of shows at the Hoop Group Fall league. She has been unguardable. She is breaking ankles like your best foot doctor, she is dropping more fines than and snitch you know. She has has been making up for lost time and reminding up all, she is one if the best 2028’s in the State of New Jersey. She is reminding everyone to let college coaches, she is not the real deal but the only deal. No!! the deal of the century. Her swagger and presence are felt the moment she walks in the gym, she drips with confidence not arrogance. It more about knowing how much she has committed to the game. I can’t take my eyes off her at NBS I try to think of a player she reminds me of; But can’t, that’s because she has her own style and is so dam quick and athletic she’s so smooth and able to blend into any atmosphere or surroundings. The fact is GIANNA SANO is part of her own list. The list is called … THE DEFERENT LIST.

See some kids have their own category. Antonia Jackson and Gianna Sano are two of these kids. They are kids that do the winning shit and just happened to be blessed with talent from the heavens. College coaches will be beg for their services. But they would be wise to remember to , some kids actually love the game more than the hype!
SEE YOU THERE:)
