When Kylee Beam entered the Shore as a freshman. She was a total unknown and the Howell basketball staff wanted to keep it that way. That’s because Kylee Beam was the best keep secret in New Jersey. She didn’t understand the recruiting process, didn’t understand the different levels of AAU OR TRAINING. She was just a kid who liked playing basketball. She was not a kid living in the social media and hype world. Yesterday morning KYLEE BEAM did something remarkable. She became the 4th FEMALE in HOWELL HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY TO SCORE 1000’s points!
KYLEE BEAM was not on anyone list entering high school. She was not on the 8th grade golden dozen list. She was on the early bird D1 list. Nobody knew her name. Well that has all changed because KYLEE BEAM is far and away the GOAT of the Shore 2027 class and one of the best juniors in the state. Now she has D1 offers and everyone knows her name. She is now one of the All Time Greats at Howell and she is just a junior. KYLEE BEAM has been fulfilling her potential, while many others are slowly becoming footnotes. There was no hype surrounding her when she was named Freshman of the year by many media outlets. There was no hype when she lead her team to the State Final by dominating a D1 player who was a senior. There is no hype when she just showed up and played. The system has never gotten a hold of Kylee, she has stayed the course and trusted the right people.
Scoring a thousand points is hard. But to do it in less than two while being double and triple team every night. Now that is impressive. But what is most impressive about Kylee Beam is her commitment. She shows up everyday. There are never excuses. It why she has turned herself into a deadly three point shooter. She did it by out working everyone. She is a sensation passer because she wants to elevate her teammates. She is a rock star on defenses.
Yes KYLEE BEAM is in the history books for scoring 1000 points. But remember, she most likely will be the ALL TIME LEADING SCORER FOR HOWELL.She will be the leading candidate for PLAYER OF THE YEAR next season in the Shore Conference . She done all this without fake hype. Without phonyAAU social media hype. She’s done all this quietly. Her mom is not walking around bragging and creating drama. She simply sits back and lets her daughter enjoy her experience. They is rare stuff too these days.
Kylee Beam doesn’t ride coat tails. She doesn’t have to play on a band name high school team. She doesn’t need coaches and friends exaggerating her impact on games and a team. See doesn’t need status and made to feel more important than others. You see the great ones let their performance and presence speak for them. Kylee Beams performance and presence has been overwhelming. She averages over 18 points and 12 rebounds a game. But that’s not what drives her. What drives her are her relationships with teammates, coaches and friends. You see basketball is just one part of KYLLE BEAMS life. It’s why she is so rounded, talented and so well liked by all.
