ADDY NYEMCHEK… is McDonald All American for all the right reasons!
The McDonald All American game committee sent a message to kids and parents yesterday. They told kids all across the country. You don’t have to play selfish and self centered. It’s okay to be a great teammate. They told kids you don’t have to brag and post your offers in order to create hype and status. They told kids it’s ok to be humble, classy and respectful. They told every kid in the country you can be a McDonald All American just by letting your game speak. In other words be ADDY “The Bad Woman “Nyemchek. That’s because Addy Nyemchek became the 2nd McDonald All American from RED BANK CATHOLIC in the last 4 years and just the 6th in New Jersey history
Addy Nyemchek most will believe is a McDonald All American because of her basketball talents. The ability to score. Maybe you think that she is a Mickey D All American because she is the best defender in the country. Maybe it’s because she is the best passer in recent New Jersey history. Maybe it because she is the biggest big game shot maker in Shore Conference history. Maybe it’s because every thing she touches turns to gold. She has won every personal and team award that is possible. she has won Freshman of The Year… PLAYER OF THE YEAR… DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR… .BEEN FIRST TEAM ALL STATE and will add the State Player of Year this season. She has won the SCT and State Chips. These would be all good reasons for her to be named a McDonald All American, reasons that make absolute sense if you don’t know Addy.. But you be wrong! The real reason Addy Nyemchek is a McDonald All American is because she makes everything around her shine. She is a kid that believes there is enough light for everyone to shine. She is a kid that not only can you coach hard. She expects to be coached hard, to be coached like everyone else. Addy Nymchek is in the McDonald ALL AMERICAN GAME for more than just being a great basketball player. She is a GREAT PERSON, a giver not a taker
I was walking out of the gym after a workout yesterday. Ari Wissen a future D1 player was walking along side of me. She told she received a camera for Christmas. She then said “I have pictures of Addy Nymchek I took” ( see above photo ). Then she said something else. Something that sums up Addy Nymchek. Ari Wissen said “I was sitting in the stands and Addy Nymchek tapped me on the shoulder and said hello to me. I didn’t know she even knew my name” She then smiled and said “ that was the best part of my day”…. THIS IS WHY ADDY NYMCHEK IS A MCDONALD ALL AMERICAN…. Congratulations to a true winner in the game of life!
