SYDNEY TILTON … LOOKS LIKE THE FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR?
Do you know the name SYDNEY TILTON? Maybe you do because she was named the Shore Conference freshman of the year in soccer this year. What you may not know is she right now is looking to do something that has never been done. That’s because SYDNEY TILTON right now is looking more and more like the FRESHMAN OF YEAR on basketball as well.
To say SYDNEY TILTON is having a great year for Shore Reg is like saying a fat kid loves cake. What she has consistently been doing this season has been magnificent if not, shocking. This season she already has 331 points … 128 rebounds and 102 steals. Those are cartoonish numbers for a freshman. But it not just the numbers it’s the consistency. Like the fact she has scored in double figures in every game except one. Like the fact she has score over 16 points in her last ten games. SYDNEY TILTON has quietly been a rock star. She is proving not only can she kick a ball she can shoot one as well.
When you are blessed with so much natural ability. Sometimes it’s hard to decide what to do with it all. It’s a problem all kids wish they had. SYDNEY TILTON is not just athletic with great lateral movement. She also has a competitive nature. One that is dripping with confidence and presence. She knows that D1 basketball or soccer are in her future. She knows that she loves both sports. She also knows she is great at both. She has been given a gift. Now she just has to protect these gifts and nurture them. These days it appears she is doing just that.
SYDNEY TILTON was not a total unknown entering the Shore this year. She played AAU for the NJ GEMZ AAU organization. A organization known for producing high level D1 talent. But she certainly wasn’t a household name. Now that is certainly about to change. That’s because these days it appears she will be holding a poster that says Freshmen of the year. While many freshman have struggled late in the season, SYDNEY TILTON seems to be picking up steam. She has averaged over 18 points a game in her last 6 games, no other freshman is in her world right now. They call that getting it done with BABY LOVE. Right now SYDNEY TILTON is looking like one of best babies in New Jersey. I guess two sport players are truly special because SYDNEY TILTON certainly is proving that.
