JORDYN HOLLAWELL AND AMERICAN UNIVERSITY ARE A TEAM!!

It’s the first official day of high school basketball practice in New Jersey. For Jordyn Hollowell, it’s just the beginning to the the start of an exciting senior year. That’s because she committed to American University this past weekend. She now knows her season will be stress free. She will be receiving a free education. She will be attending a great academic University. She will be playing D1 basketball in one of the best Academic Conferences in the country. She gets to play for a coaching staff that truly believes in her. Jordyn Hollawell is now watching her dreams come true.

I don’t know Jordyn Hollawell very well outside of watching her play basketball for MANASQUAN HIGH SCHOOL I know her sister BROOKE plays at Dartmouth University. I know her mother was a star at Fordham University. So basketball greatness runs in the family. I have watched Jordyn play for Ellen Masonious and the NJ RISE over the years. I know Jordyn is and has been totally loyal to the RISE, in a time when kids jump from team to team in constant search for something better. Jordyn’s loyalty is what American University is looking for these days. They know they are getting a player who will stick around when things get tough. They know they’re not getting crazy parents but rather supporting parents. See you don’t have to know a kid always. You just have to watch their actions and the people they surround themselves with, Jordyn Hollawell. has surrounded herself with the best of the best.

American University is in search for winners these days. Jordyn Hollawell is a big winner. She has played against the big dogs over the years. Name a big time program in New Jersey and Jordyn Hollawell has played against them. She is totally battle tested. Her coach Lisa Kukoda has prepared her over the years. She moved her into the starting lineup as a sophomore. She watched Jordyn grow up right front of her eyes. Jordyn has won 2 State Titles. It was she and her teammates that took out heavily favored RBC in her Sophomore year in the SCT. You see Jordyn only knows winning whether it’s with her NJ RISE TEAM or Manasquan team. Her competitive nature, never say die attitude is what makes her so very special , I do not believe you can teach these things. You either have it or you don’t… ANYONE WHO HAS SEEN JORDYN KNOWS SHE HAS IT

Over the years, Jordyn has not gotten her full due. She has never been crowned or told she is one of the best. She simply just went about the business of delivering on the court. She never was a self promoter or box score junkie. She was just a humble good teammate who never seem to bring attention tto herself. But now that has changed. She now will look to having a great senior year. She will be the leader that everyone counts on this year. She has made too many big shots over the years to count. Now Manasquan will ask for even more from their star guard. Jordyn will try and win her 3rd state title and leave a legacy for all to remember. She has been a great role model for kids hoping to make their dreams come true.

What’s next for Jordyn Hollawell is AMERICAN UNIVERSITY AND MORE GOOD TIMES…. She has earned it. She has never played the game for clicks. She has never been a drama queen or brought drama to the table. Instead she has always been respectful and kind hearted to all. This is what I know I will remember about her, ….all that is left to say is CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM JORDYN AND AMERICAN UNIVERSITY
