JAX EDELMAN AND FAMILY ARE BLESSED… A DIFFERENT SET OF VALUES!!

Now look around these days and what do you see? Kids jumping from team to team. Why because mom and dad refuse to allow them to work through adversity. There is always an excuse and angle to play. They’re always those who are in their inner circle who will tell them what they want to hear, if it fits the narrative. Rarely do these kids or their parents get the truth. Most people simply mine their own business and then talk behind a players and parents back. The players who are jumping from team to team in 99% of the time are not the great ones. You see the great ones can play anywhere. The great ones love adversity and embrace it. But too many kids these days are looking for an escape route. It’s why JAX EDELMAN is so special and her parents just may be more special. THEY ARE TRULY A BLESSED FAMILY!

Jax Edelman, is one of the best players in New Jersey. This summer she is playing for the PHILLY RISE, one of the best organizations on the east coast. Well let me say that a little differently. She is on the RISE team, that’s because she does NOT play very much these days. The haters are very happy to hear and see this, understand folks that are not doing shit are always happy when those who have done shit, are going through a tough time. But Jax Edelman and her parents are different. They know their daughter has lots of D1 offers. They know their daughter is going to get a nice NIL regardless of what happens the rest of the summer. So the question is why stick around with the PHILLY RISE? The Rise have told her that her time is coming. Well there are only two weekends of basketball left in front of coaches. THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THIS…if her time is coming it’s should have already come. AAU is not about development, it’s about exposure nothing else. So since she is getting no exposure, why in the world is Jax Edelman, sticking around.? She is not just not playing, she is not even being given a chance. She is getting 4-8 mins a game, it’s been a mental challenge for Jax Edelman and her family. Everyone is telling her to find a new team, what could she be thinking? She certainly can’t believe that the RISE plan to wake up one morning and decide she is the answer.I spoke to ADRIANA EDELMAN, Jax’s mom and asked why was her daughter not playing? Her response was “We have a really good team and she’ll have to wait until she get her turn”. Now that’s something new, a parent not blaming the coach or the organization. I then said to her “SHE NEEDS TO FIND A NEW TEAM” Her response was what separates this family from 99% of other parents in AAU. She said “Tiny, she lOVES her team and coaches. She loves her teammates and I would never allow her to turn her backs on those girls” Yes a parent who actually gives a shit about somebody other than their daughter. This is why Jax Edelman is a P4 player not just because of the great talent. Jax has another skill set, it’s called character. Something lost, in the world of AAU basketball.

Jax Edelman, has spent the last 3 years at Morris Catholic high school. She won two state titles and lost in the Chip game this year to RBC. She has had a dream career, but for personal reasons she has transferred to Blair Academy. She did so with a heavy heart. She told me that her family loved Morris Catholic and she expressed her appreciation for all the school and coaches have done for her daughter. She wrote and beautiful letter and posted it one facebook. You see the Edelman family gets it. I wondered why their just didn’t wait until after Jersey Live, so she could play and take advantage of Morris Catholic like 99% of what other parents would do. But the Edelman’s are not like others. Adriana Edelman says “we just prefer to do things the right way and we don’t judge what other do”. Jax Edelman is very lucky and she is lucky because she has the perfect inner circle.

I love when Jax and her family come to NBS. Not because she is one of the best players in all of New Jersey. I love her because she is the type of kid we all talk about, yet rarely see these days. Jax Edelman is what we want athletes to really be like, humble, honest and hungry. We want parents who won’t and don’t step over dead bodies to get ahead. We don’t see EDELMAN’S much anymore these days. You know the type that doesn’t fight with other parents for the spotlight or position on the food chain. The Edelman’s don’t bring drama, worry about who likes who. They don’t size up who is in the gym and worry about who is or not in the gym. They don’t care about rankings, hype or what others think. They just want to have a great experience playing a game. Jax Edelman and her family are the type of people I ROOT SO HARD FOR BECAUSE THEY ARE WILLING TO SHARE THE LIGHT EVEN WHEN IT NOT IN THEIR BEST INTEREST.…This is why she is truly one of the great ones. And about that AAU problem, its not a problem at all, because Jax EDELMAN is still one of the most recruited players in New Jersey…. because coaches know the truth and that is exactly what she is….THE TRUTH!
