The JUST US GIRLS EVENT is this weekend. This is the 10th year of the event that has raised over 40 thousand dollars for women with cancer. Donations have been made to Jaqueline Wilentz foundation at Monmouth Medical Center and currently to Mary’s Place by the sea. The event was inspired by Tracey Sabino the Shoreshots director, whose mother in law is a breast cancer survivor. It has turned into one of the best fall events run in New Jersey each year and it is certainly for a good cause.
Each year Tracey Sabino, gathers some of the best talent in the area for this special event. This year Tracey Sabino, who is the face and the director of the highly successful Shoreshots girls program has out done herself. This year’s event is stacked with some of the best high schools in the state. Not to mention the talent that will be on display. In fact this just might be the most talent in the events history. While the players can’t wear their high school jersey’s most players will be joining their high school teammates. There will be 25 teams in this years high school PINK division. The event is a mix of state and Shore Conference powers like St. Rose, RBC, RBR, MANASQUAN, TRINITY HALL RFH, upstart Ocean all teams that could find themselves in the Shore Conference Top 10. Then you have upstarts like Neptune and Middletown North and South. But if you want a little bang for you buck listen to this. Schools like Morris Catholic and Gil St. Bernard, Morris Hills and Ocean City are making the trip to this years event.
While the high school basketball teams may be a exciting Bracket. Some of the top AAU programs will also be on hand as well. This is a peek into the future. Some of the best young babies will get to showcase their talent on the big stage. They will do battle for a great cause. Many of the teams will be playing both days. While others may just play a day to be part of the event and lend support. There is no question the event is going to be filled with lots of energy and fun for all. While everyone will be playing to win, this is event is really about friends getting together to help support those in need.
While D1 schools will have to watch this year’s event on video( Thanks to BIG PUSH). Division 2 and Division 3 schools will be out in full force. JUST US GIRLS is shaping up to be a great opportunity for tons of kids. But what an opportunity for the D2 and D3 schools who will not be overshadowed by the D1 schools. It going to be a great opportunity for some programs to really steal a few players better than there level of play.
Gil Bernard is stacked with so much D1 talent they have two sophomore D1 forwards in Sidney Quinn at 6’2″ and 6’5″ Gandy Malou Mamel. They have a talented future D1 freshman in Ava Farjardo and Stella Lockhart. They have a elite exciting point guard in Tessa Lozner who everyone will love watching. Brooke Baisley is a pure joy to watch and has D1 offers for a good reason. Same for Jennah Johnson and the always fun to watch Aniyah Boston and that’s not the entire roster. You don’t want to miss this team
Red Bank Catholic has the Great 8 meaning those 8 exciting freshman. But backbone of the team is Tessa Carman who has P5 offers, Emma Carman who is off too Quinnipiac, Casey Prior who is the best unsigned Sr player in the state these days and Molly Kelly are just a few of the RBC expected to make coaches drool.
Nina Emance is one of the 5 best players in the Shore. But Siobhan Stapleton is also a D1 player and that have some many new exciting babies. Trinity Hall is a coaches dream team to watch and Shore fans would be wise to pay close attention to them
RFH has Julia Corsentino and 1st Team All freshman guard Sylvie Notine and their coach thinks he may have his best team ever. You don’t want to miss the Bulldogs
How do these names sound? Hope Masonious, Katie Collins, Rylnn Orlando and a host of possible D1 players? Now you know why coaches will be flocking to Manasquan this year and why they have a state to win another state chip.
St. Rose has D1 commits Cracking Rosie, Maggie Cavanaugh. But Emily Cavanaugh and Jada Lynch will surely be joining them. But its Cassie Krusesi that coaches are going to soon realize is also a D1 player. Coach Chambers is thinking big this year.
Ocean could be the sleeper team of the year and the Clark sisters Eli and Kayden will be wearing D1 uniforms and with Jineen Ayyash on board for a full season Ocean could be a real spoiler. Ayyash has D1 coaches watching and contacting her for good reason… she is talented
Holmdel has one of the most improved players in the Shore and certainly a future D1 lock in Allison Cannon. But Alexandra Loucopoulos is a All Shore Guard and is being heavily recruited. But there just may be a sleeper on this time Mackenzie Teevan has improved greatly and now is 6’3″.
RBR has Camryn Gardner the most improved player in the state and its why she has D1 offers and coaches begging for her services. Caroline Polloway was 1st Team All Freshman last year and the 6’3″ forward is looking for more. Josie Munson could soon be off the board… yup JT has something cooking again.
