The Shore Conference season went off with a bang this weekend. We saw the expected and unexpected. We saw new stars shine and a few teams shine  as well. Clearly we are in for another exciting year of basketball in the best conference in American.

1. RFH beats two Top 20 teams

2. SJV and RBC pick up wins over National Ranked Dr. Phipps

3. MANASQUAN starts out with impressive wins

4. BRICK MEMORIAL AND MANALAPAN start out 2-0

5. HOLMDEL wins big TWICE!

1. SJV Sophomore TAYLOR SOLFILKANICH goes for 25 vs Dr Phillps

2. Manasquan Senior KATIE COLLINS  puts on show vs Trinity Hall

3. SJV Junior DANIELLA MATUS drops 26 points vs Life Center

4. Manchester Senior DEYVN QUILEY has 40 in 3 quarters vs Donovan Catholic

5. Holmdel Senior ALLISON CANNON averages 21 points, 6 dimes and 5 rebounds over the weekend

1. SJV– Ashley SOLFILKANISH was sensational on open night. Newcomer Stella Lockhart was as advertised. Daniella Matus showed why Is one of the best in the state. There the team to beat

2. RBC– Everyone got into the action. Christina Liggio all around play led the way. Addy Nyemcheck was in All Shore POY form. Tessa Liggio proved why she is the ultimate leader. Tessa Carman was dominant at times.

3. MANASQUAN- Katie Collins was off the charts. The bench squad led by Shea Donnelly and Carlie Lapinski were like rocket fuel. They look dangerous.

4. OCEAN TWP– The Four horsewomen were primed and ready to ride in opening night. Manasquan is waiting with open arms

5. TRINITY HALL– They lost to two teams in Manasquan and Gil Bernard who both will flirt with a Top 5 state ranking. Rumson is calling this week.

6. RUMSON FAIR HAVEN– The biggest surprise on opening weekend. Ella Mason put on a shooting show cs state ranked Union and then Erin

Reid dropped a double/double vs Chatham another state ranked team. The result two massive wins.

7. HOLMDEL– Teo cupcakes to open the season but they took care of business. Cannon looks like a 1st Team All Shore lock and Mackenzie Teevan is working on the MOST IMPROVED PLAYER AWARD. Michelle Steele is sneaky good and underrated.

8. ST. ROSE– There lost in there season opener to PAUL VI the state #7 team. Jada Lynch had 17 points and was the teams only double figure scorer.

9. RBR– Strange times. They played in FLA without there coach in two exhibitions

10. RANNEY– They could be a real surprise. There 3 stars were all in double figures. Hayley Poser had 18 points, Freshman Ashley Keriger had 15 and Emily Cavanaugh had 10 points and 4 dimes.
