SHORE CONFERENCE WEEKLY AWARDS
COACH OF THE WEEK
Lisa Kukoda – MANSQUAN HIGH SCHOOL- She has here team running like a fine machine. Her team was totally locked in vs. Middletown South. Then her team in a tough hard fought game vs. Luhi never broke, in a double Overtime win.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DARA MABREY-MANASQUAN HIGH SCHOOL- She wins the award for a 2nd time in 3 weeks. She has turned in 3 mega performances on the biggest stages this year. Her 31 points vs Luhi was impressive coming off the 21 vs. then #8 Middletown.
CHRISTINA ANTONAKAKIS– MIDDLETOWN SOUTH– The Magic women is clearly back. She but a Holmdel team that has bounced back nicely on her back with 20 points. But more impressive she did it at crunch time.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
KAROLINA JARUSEVICIUTE-DONAVAN CATHOLIC- The 6’1″ baby had a monster game last week. How does 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist and 3 steals move you. It could not come at a better time for Donovan Catholic. The future Division one stud is going to be in the mix for player of the year as is her teammate Pagie Slaven who had 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assist as well.
TEAM OF THE WEEK-
MANASQUAN HIGH SCHOOL- Two huge wins over Middletown South and Luhi. But this is a true team effort. It seems to be a different ROLE player every night. Galvan is rolling into shape and is becoming a huge factor. Mullaney again comes off the bench with big, big plays.
