FUTURE D1 GUARD KENDALL FREDRICKSEN…IS KILLING THEM SOFTLY
She does the hard things, like showing up. She is coachable and it’s the reason why her game continues to evolve. She does her work without fanfare. She doesn’t need praise or compliments for motivation. She doesn’t seek attention. KENDALL FREDRICKSEN is on way to play Division One basketball, there is not much debate about that. She may not get the hype of others but her game speaks for itself. She is that player the sneaks up on you. There is no flash and dash, just production and performance. She is not another hype up player who is suppose to good, going to be good, filled with so much potential. No KENDALL FREDRICKSEN is player, she is a player right now and has proved it over and over, she is killing the competition softly.
KENDALL FREDRICKSEN doesn’t overwhelm you with her physical presence. She is long and thin and like everything else in her young career, is stronger than she appears. It’s rare when a player when a player has 450 points, over 150 rebounds and over 160 assists in two years and basically nobody talks about them. It’s rare for a player to improve dramatically in every statistical category from freshman to sophomore year. The numbers KENDALL FREDRICKSEN put up last season, you would certainly think would grab the attention of all. You’d think it would make her a household name. I mean 258 points, 84 rebounds and 105 assists from the point guard and wing position are massive. But when play with the leading scorer in the Shore Conference in Ari Wissen, sometimes people don’t pay attention. Next season Kendall will be the face of the program. Next year, you will hear all about how Kendall will be asked to carry the load for BRICK TWP. But what most folks don’t understand is that she did a lot of the load carrying last season. You just didn’t notice, didn’t want to give her credit. But the good news for Kendall Fredricksen is that the people who matter most know. I get to see her 5 -6 days a week against the future and now current D1 players. I get to watch her grown day to day. You see D1 College coaches, will be begging for her signature because Kendall Fredricksen is no joke, she is the real deal in every way.
Kendall Fredricksen plays for the Chambers Shoreshots U16 Team. They are a team loaded with players with D1 offers. Every player and Kendall on the roster except one will 100% play D1 basketball one day. It’s a team that is stacked with scorers. On any given day a different player can be the leading scorer. When you play with so much talent making impact is not easy game in and game out. But Kendall Fredricksen, has done what so many talented young players can’t do, she has adjusted her game. She was once thought of as just a three point shooter as a freshman. But this year she has proved she is a true combo. She is not a player masquerading as a point guard or a wing player. She truly can play both positions, unlike so many that pretend to be combo guards. Blessed with size and a high IQ. She flashes a versatility that few in the 2028 class can match. She can defend either position and excel at both. This off season she made getting to the rim a priority and that’s exactly what she can do these days. Her ability to to rebound and push the ball in transition is special. But what I like most about Kendall is her ability to play under pressure. If you see Kendall Fredricksen out of control that’s like seeing a unicorn. She simply never plays without purpose. You see unselfish players all have this trait. Kendall Fredricksen understands how to play the game.
Next week the live period will once again kick off. The U16 Shoreshots will have coaches packed on the sidelines. Not because of who they’re playing but because of who there are. Kendall Fredricksen, will do what she does all the time. She will be the most consistent player on the court. There will be no forced shots. No rash of bad decisions. No faces or hint of bad body language. She will knock down a couple of threes, get to the foul line, grab a few rebounds, get a few steals and do all the things college coaches wish players would do. Others may get more attention and make a few exciting plays. While Kendall Fredricksen will be dissecting opponents with her cool style of play that destroys opponents quietly. Thry say the quiet ones are the dangerous ones… Kendall Fredricksen is a silent killer!!!
