WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW…

We are now in full swing as everyone starts preparing for the up coming season. There are a few things I know right now.

I know the Shore Conference freshman class is loaded. Future D1 players, Ari Wissen of Brick, Gianna Sano and ANTONIA JACKSON of SJV lead the freshman mega talented class. SJV clearly has the best freshman  class in the Shore conference.

I know they’re some players that have stepped up their game this fall. But Kylee Bean was shockingly good at NBS. The young lady is a D1 lock. The 6’0” forward has a great body. Plays lights out D and scores in the post with the best of them. She is the real deal.

The open gyms were great the first time around. But last week the kids in the open gyms stepped up. I know that  Trinity Hall ‘26 stars Grace FEENEY and Whitney Hobson improved their status.

Speaking of getting better. Mackenzie Teevan and Caroline Pollawell both are cooking these day. I know both are looking at possible ALL SHORE seasons.

I know the WOODEN TOP 150 took place this past weekend. Now how Madison Kocis doesn’t get an invite is wrong. There is no question there is politics involved. But no worries another Madison from SJV (St. Rose) wasn’t invited a few years ago and it worked out just fine.

GARRY LINTON is back in Ocean County Now the county has a proven developer of talent. I know we are going to find out if the coaches in the county are frauds or will encourage kids to get in the gym… LETS SEE!

I know Manasquan will spin the fall league disappointments into exactly what it is meaningless. But they have to be concerned about the lack of defense the last two weeks. I know Olivia Shaughnessy,  Shea Donnelly and Shannon Heine will  have to have  to be on point until Kayden Clark arrives or Squan is going nowhere.

I know right now the ALL SHORE TEAM looks like this

Madison Kocis -SJV

Christina Liggio– RBC

Addy Nyemchek– RBC

TAYLOR SOFILKANICH– SJV

Olivia Shaughnessy – MANASQUAN

Jada Lynch– ST. ROSE

I know the All Freshman Team looks like this right now

Ari Wissen- Brick

Antonia Jackson- SJV

Gianna Sano- SJV

Allison McAndrew- TRINITY HALL

Casey Zammit- HOLMDEL

CALISTA VOWTERAS – MANASQUAN

RBC

I KNOW RIGHT NOW. Coach Joe Montano is putting a strangle hold on the 2029 class. A class that  is very comparable to his 2026 class… scary stuff to the shore

I know RANNEY is a serious problem for all. Ashley KREIGER is a future POY candidate and Hayley Poser is a ALL SHORE 1st Team candidate. But when Michelle Steele joins them. They instantly become Top 5 in the Shore.

RBR is by far the most interesting team in the Shore. They are not built with gym rats. But there is real talent in the program. I know if they learn how to beat full court pressure and learn how to feed the post they have a chance to be scary. There guards are mostly juniors now and have a legit senior post presence.

BRICK could be the surprise team of the year. They have two future D1 babies in ARI WISSEN and  KENDALL FREDRICKSEN but guess what?  They  have two other babies as well who will make an impact. Now throw in East Stroudsburg  bound senior Riley Nausedas, to provide that all important senior leadership and you got something cooking. They nearly took out RBR last week in the fall league

Now I know nobody is sure what to expect from RUMSON this year. I know they have the guard whisper in Coach Callahan and they have guards. Erin Reid has missed the entire fall to this point. Coach Dave Callahan. says she a D1 player. He is not wrong very often folks! But it’s Brooke JAENICKE And Grace SMITH that should have him excited. The returning sophomore’s have been gym rats and have had OUTSTANDING FALLS TO THIS POINT. I predict JAENICKE will be all defense.

MY CURRENT TOP 10 LOOKS LIKE THIS RIGHT NOW

1. RBC

2. SJV

3. St. ROSE

4. RANNEY5.

5.TRINITY HALL

6. MANASQUAN

 7. RBR
