WHAT I KNOW RIGHT NOW…THE SUMMER IS OVER

Now that everyone is settled in for the school year. We can finally put the summer behind us. Many players have seen there fortunes rise. In turn some  teams will also benefit from this. There have been some major changes in the Shore and some new  faces have arrived. So today I’m going to tell you want I know RIGHT NOW!

I KNOW SOME PLAYERS  STOCK HAS RISEN

Addy Nyemchek was acting like a “BAD WOMAN”

‘26 Addy Nyemcheck is on every coaches wish list for good reason. She just may be the best player in the state of New Jersey  TAYLOR SOFILKANICHhas more offers these days from Top 10 programs than a beauty queen. She is ranked in the 2026 class Top 20 by ESPN. She is starting to look like a superstar on the rise. BROOKE MISSRY has quietly become one of the best stories of the summer. She has picked up D1 offers and more importantly built her name recognition. There is no doubt her recruiting will explode come January. She took full advantage of the spring and summer both on the court and during her training. Now AVA FRITH, may have left the Shore, but not without making her mark this summer. She is off to Rutgers Prep but not alone as she picked up multiple D1 offers. That because she has developed a deadly jumper to go alone with her post up game and passing skills. In other word she went next level this summer. Finally what can you seat about MADISON KOCIS, her rise has been dynamic. The 6’0” ran away with the MVP trophy at NBS. Joining the rare list of whose who to win the award. But it’s been her rock start development that has everyone excited. She just may be the most improved player in the state.

I KNOW THE  ALL SHORE TEAM HAS A FEW LOCKS ALREADY

Now my ALL SHORE TEAM doesn’t do wealth sharing or hype over game. We go to the video because it doesn’t lie. Right now I know three players unless the bottom falls out are looking like All Shore locks. Now where you go after these three is anyone’s guess. Because the Shore is stacked.

ADDY NYEMCHECK-2026- RBC

CHRISTINA LIGGIO- 2025- RBC

MADISON KOCIS- 2026- SJV

I KNOW THIS YEAR’S THE FRESHMAN CLASS IS STACKED.

Last year the freshman class was disappointing. But this year’s class has gym rats, talent and impact players… right now I know 5 babies who have separated themselves and there all future D1 players ( anyone want to check my track record regarding such matters…hehehe)

ARI WISSEN- BRICK she is the clear clubhouse leader for FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR

CALISTA VOWTERASMANASQUAN she is a gym rat who has all the tools. She may have to wait a year to get monster minutes.

KENZIE KLATSKY- MARLBORO she  is the future of Marlboro basketball. She get doubled and faced guarded all year. It’s a tribute to her talent.

ALLISON McANDREW- TRINITY HALL she is the most talented player to enter Trinity since Nina Emnace and will make a serious run at FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR. This is a future rock star

KENDALL FREDRICKSEN- BRICK TWP– She is the best shooter in the class. But she is no one tick pony. She can put it on the deck and get to the line. This is a 1st TEAM ALL FRESHMAN LOCK

CASEY ZAMMIT- HOLMDELshe had the look of the FRESHMAN OF YEAR a month ago. She is going to be a 4 year starter. She is packed with talent, she just needs to nurture it vs. competition

I KNOW RBC AND SJV have a talent gap the size of the Grand Canyon compared to other Shore teams. But the Top 10 looks like this right now. Once everyone is full strength

RED BANK CATHOLIC IS BACK ON TOP

1. RBC- no debate

2. SJV- No debate

3. St. ROSE- they are healthy

4. RBR- can the guards make a move in the fall

5. RANNEY- they have 5 but is it enough?

6. MANASQUAN- the re going to shock folks

7. TRINITY HALL- exciting babies

8. HOWELL- are they willing to get in the gym?

9. JACKSON  MEM- will they play a competitive schedule?

10- RFH- folks they have Dave Callahan

I KNOW THE TRANSFERS ARE GOING TO PLAY A BIG ROLE …

Kayden Clark (33) of Ocean Township on defense as Rylee Drahos (3) of Shore brings the ball down court during the basketball game between Ocean Township and Shore at Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch, NJ on January 12, 2023.

Kayden Clark is off to Manasquan. Squan  gets deeper, more scoring, more defensive and  rebounding. More importantly prevented her from  going to another school and changing the balance in the Shore rankings at the top. She give them real fire power off the bench

MICHELLE STEELE goes to Ranney and this is big. They now have the legitimate 5th starter. A true versatile scorer, rebounder and lock down defender. She makes RANNEY a possible Top 20 team. She starts the moment she is eligible.

AVA FRITH leaves Manasquan for Rutgers Prep. It’s rare for a player to leave the Shore. But Ava is not like everyone else. The future D1 players leaves  Manasquan with a major hole in the front court. She was the lone player in the rotation with size.

DANIELLA MATUS returns to Morris Catholic. This is a lost but can be filled. That’s because Tatum Sharpe who has D1 offers is ready to fill the void. But then again Brooklyn Taylor and Charlotte Bradley are willing to die so as well. But you can’t replace experience and Matus had plenty of it on big stages.

I KNOW THE MOST IMPROVED PLAYERS BASED ON THE SUMMER FROM YEAR TO YEAR… coaches you better pay attention to this D1 list(no wealth sharing here)

1. Madison KOCIS- 2026 –  SJV

2. LOLA GIORDANO- 2026 – RBC

3. CHRISTINA LIGGIO- 2025- RBC

4. HAYLEY POSER- 2025 – RANNEY

5. KERIA MCKOWN- 2025- HOWELL

6. BROOKE MISSRY- 2026- ST. ROSE

I KNOW THERE ARE GYM RATS and hard workers. GYM RATS WIN “big” tho and ARE DRAMA FREE AND MAKE YOUR CULTURE SPECIAL … (these are the 5 GYMS RATS please don’t use the just “because I don’t train with you line”)

* remember gym rats work even after committing

KAYDEN CLARK- Manasquan – a coaches dream

The LIGGIO SISTER- RBC- nobody in there world

SHANNON HEINE- Manasquan- will not surrender

MACENZIE TEEVAN- HOLMDEL– out works her environment daily

MADISON KOCIS- 2026- SJV- refuses to lose

I KNOW THERE ARE 4 PLAYERS with D1 offers .. the REAL ONES you don’t know about

1. Tatum Sharpe- SJV

2. Caroline Pollawell- RBR

3. Kayden Clark- Manasquan

4. Brooke Missry

I KNOW TRACEY AND HER SHORESHOTS ORGANIZATION DELIVER UNLIKE ANY OTHER PROGRAM …

Every single players on the HGSL U 17 team is off to college on a free education. Every member of u17 Chambers team has an offer of has committed with a FREE EDUCATION… every member of THEIR HGSL U16 except one has a D1 offer. The one has a D2 full offer.. folks they call that getting it done

Finally I know the NJSIAA has done a horrible job with the open gym rules.

It only benefits the Top programs like RBC and SJV. Manasquan had exactly 2 coaches at there open gym. St. Rose had 2… TRINITY HALL 8. Even the SJV AND RBC numbers were down. RBC has had only 28 coaches in there two Open gyms. SJV only had 15 in there only one to date. That state is hurting kids opportunities for NO GOOD REASON. They clearly did not seek out advice in coming to these uninformed decisions, regarding OPEN GYMS.

FALL TRAINING IS THERE FOR YOU…. TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!
