RBC TURN UP THE HEAT VS SJV
Last night it looked as if RBC and SJV were on there way to another instant classic. Both teams were playing with a refuse to lose attitude. But in the end one teams stars stepped up and went to another level as one team lost their composure when the game went to another level.

If you had told SJV Coach Dawn Karpell her role players Tatum Sharpe, Lissy Lyons and Gianna Sano would combine for 15 points and her best player Madison Kocis would turn in a super human performance. She would have ran to the bank with it. The only problem was the best player in the state Addy Nyemchek put on her superwoman cape in the 2nd half and the best shooter in the state Katie Liggio once again went off and blew another game wide open.

SJV and RBC were neck and neck for 20 mins last night. Tatum Sharpe chased and harassed Addy Nyemchek and held her to 5 points in the first half. Katie Liggio was thrown into the ice box with zero points. Things were looking pretty good for SJV. That is except for , TESSA LIGGIO. The senior point guard keep RBC in the game with her Stella play on both sides of the ball. She was stepped on, kicked and roughed up all night. Yet kept her composure and delivered for her teammates. She put on a gutsy performance. Then Scarlett LeVake made life very uncomfortable for Taylor Solfilkanick and the RBC defense went to work on Stella Lockhart. It seemed strange but SJV seem to out play RBC in the first half but yet the game was tied at 22 at halftime.

The third quarter started out just like the first two. Two super powers going toe to toe. It seemed we were headed towards an exciting finish. But then Addy Nyemchek sent Tatum Sharpe to the bench with foul trouble and then she proceeded to go off. She hit jumpers, got to the rim, went to the foul line and dropped dimes. In other words SJV had no answers for the “BAD WOMAN”. But Addy Nymchek was not alone because it was Katie Liggio who broke the back and spirit of SJV in the 3rd as she too went off. SJV had no answers for the red hot Katie Liggio. At the end of three RBC lead by 6 but SJV still had hope.

Some teams have the ability to take their games to another level. In the 4th RBC did just that. Lola GIORDANO came off the bench and scored 6 big points for the night. Sophia Smith got on the glass and scored 8 points, Scarlett LeVake made SJV suffer in the lane. Tessa Liggio was the ultimate conductor. In a blink of an eye RBC had built a double digit lead. Meanwhile SJV had clearly lost their composure. But Madison Kocis who scored her 1000th point tired to save SJV. She put on a deep shooting show. She dropped bombs from 35 feet it seemed time after time. She was inspiring her team and home town fans. It was almost like she was reliving her freshman year performance in the SCT 3 years ago. But that was then and this is now. Now RBC is a well oiled machine. A team that has the ability to turn up the heat at any moment. Last night they turned up against the #2 team in the state. They got another double digit win. But they know SJV is far from done and will be waiting for round two!
