With all the news last week, I didn’t get a chance to give you my random thoughts. So here we go and there a few things that really got me thinking.
Katie Hill was named the NO BOYZ ALLOWED MVP. Folks think about the talent in that event. There is no question in my mind Katie Hill is going to make a run at 1st Team All Shore.
The amount of talented point guards in the shore is amazing. But these days I am not sure anyone is making their teammates better the way Paige Slaven. In back to back weeks, Slaven put on shows against RBR and St. Rose.

Speaking of St. Rose Abby Antognoli returned last week. She was thrown right into the fire. Playing almost the entire game at No Boyz Allowed and in the Hoop Group fall league. It won’t take the speedy guard much time to shake off the rust.
Julia Corsentino of RFH is having an all star showing at the Hoop Group Fall league. She has 17 point two weeks ago and then had 6 three’s vs. St. Rose this week. She has been just what Coach Callahan said should would be…SPECIAL!
Here is a fact College Coaches heads up .. MOLLY KELLY … JULIA SHANES.. SARA HUGHES … JULIA CORSENTINO and DYLAN CAHILL are all D1 locks… key word locks! and what I like most they are not in competition with each other and totally loyal to there team and each other…#RARE

RFH babies play so hard its makes you sweat just watching them. They are a collection of kids with real basketball IQ and skill sets. They are going to be fun to watch all season. How good would RFH be right now if Grace Munt was available? I say a Top 5 team.
Manasquan was up by 20 points vs RBC last week before coming up short. Manasquan is going to be better than anyone realizes. It interesting they are clearly playing to win the fall games. They only played 6 plays last week, that could be good because you’re building chemistry early. But you make need some of those other kids if somebody gets hurt. You damm if you do and dammed if you don’t. Mary Donnelly was outstanding and her impact on Manasquan is going to be BIG!
Now I don’t know a whole lot about kids outside of the Shore and NBS … but I know this. What this young lady did last night leads me to believe she is one of the best 2021’s in NJ pic.twitter.com/Q8R3lN0svN

KID IS ON EVERYONE’S WISH LIST….A FLAT OUT BEAST
St. Rose does not look the same without Maggie Stapleton. She is the one play on the returning St. Rose roster who can knock down three’s night in and night out. Replacing Lauren Lithgow will not be easy but Stapleton was a nice option. Her injury is not serious but it did expose St. Rose a bit.
5’10” 2023 G Tyonna Bailey showed why she’s one of the best 2023’s in the country #shegotnext @ProspectsNation @ASGR1995 @CGBR27 @NewJerseySparks @NikeGirlsEYBL @JLEnterprises @Worldexpbball @BrandonClayPSB @Coachkgnjsparks @CoachTinyGreen pic.twitter.com/Q9CGkbWk0u

REAL TALK TYONNA BAILEY IS MAKING ME LOOK SMART!
I don’t care what anyone say, Coaches are cannot duck their jobs, when kids are out of control. If a player is disrespectful to opponents and refs. It up to the coach to step in and end such behavior…
Marina Mabrey stopped by the hoop group this week. She looks great and has matured so much it really is amazing. She has a nice rookie season for the WNBA LA SPARKS. She is nursing an injury before heading to Europe.
Pretty amazing what this kid is doing these days …2022 Abby Ferguson future D1 baller pic.twitter.com/4hWvY3Pig8

Abby Ferguson is moving into All Star status. Much was predicted for last season. It seems she is living up to those expectations. She was flat out of the charts at the Top 100. Abby has been living in the gym all fall and it is clearly paying off..
I am telling you I love Emma Bradley of Trinity Hall. I think this kid has a real upside. In fact I think Trinity Hall has a chance to be a Top 8 team in the Shore Conference. They have excellent guards and of course the best post player in the Shore in Caitlin Wingertzhan. Emma Bradley is coming to NBS this weekend… I say it could be a deal changer for her.
Folks it’s a wrap …a good kid has done GREAT THINGS… the future is yours young lady….WELL DONE NICOLE… now let it all sink in…You are ozzing with greatness this morning❤️ pic.twitter.com/vyI8T5f3lp

I am so proud of Nicole Melious, kid has had a target on her back. Signing at such a young age is always risky. But the young lady may have just taken that target off her back.
Carson Fontana has committed to TCNJ great for this young lady. She is 2nd player at Holmdel off to college basketball this year.
Congrats to this young lady…nice pick up for St. Thomas https://t.co/Zfhnjyn697

This young lady is going to become a household name before the season is over…what a talent.
Why do people complain about AAU teams stealing kids. Just about everyone does it. It’s kind of like people complaining about parents coaching their kids. Well newsflash, somebody has to coach the team. In many cases the parent is the best coach the team can get. Sure daddy ball is out there but you knew that before you joined the team. You can’t have it both ways.
My Yankee’s have their backs against the wall…but I think we are ready for a comeback….have a great weekend everyone.
