ADDY NYEMCHEK BELONGS IN THE MCDONALD ALL AMERICAN GAME… PERIOD NO DEBATE!

The MCDONALD ALL AMERICAN GAME is no different than any other major All Star event. There are always going to politics and back alley meetings. Everyone is trying to certainly take care of their kids and in turn it helps their program. In the case of ADDY NYEMCHEK I don’t believe there is a need for politics. Sometimes I believe adults should just do the right thing.

Addy Nyemchek, will not be politicking and trying to be named to the McDonald All American game. See we all saw that this summer. When many and in fact most players were stat padding and box score junkies. Addy spent the summer making winning the priority and making her teammates better. This is rare in the AAU world. While many coaches are glazing kids and afraid to hold kids accountable. Addy was the rare star that didn’t need to glazed up and wanted to be held accountable. See these things should matter when picking the MICKEY D ALL AMERICANS. Shouldn’t character and player production matter?

Do not kid yourself many organizations use their Mickey D vote to convince kids to join their team. Kevin Lynch and the RISE organization had no need to make promises to Addy, in fact if he did I can assure you that should be on the RISE. Kevin lynch is a good man, trust me when I tell you this. I hope he will do the right thing by ADDY, not because she is part of his organization. But because it’s the right thing. I believe Kevin Lynch understands that Addy played the right way all summer and not once thought of herself. Not once was a ball hog. Not once was disrespectful to a coach, teammate , ref or fans. This is the type of player that should represent the MICKEY ALL AMERICAN TEAM.

I watched too many EYBL games to count this year. I got to see the most selfish players going one on one, while passing as a last resort. I can tell you this without hesitation. Addy Nyemchek was the best passer in EYBL PERIOD! I watched players just going for steals and calling it defense. Well Addy got steals and was one the leaders in EYBL in this category. But more importantly than steals is this. Don’t ever try to tell me there was a better defensive player in EYBL. The “BAD WOMEN” is the defensive goat in the country until I see better.

Now Addy belongs in the McDonald All American game. Because not only is she a great player. She is a ALL AMERICAN TYPE KID. She not just talented, she humble and caring. The type coaches dream about. Indiana University is very lucky. But isn’t time we start rewarding the great kids. The ones that play the right way and still manage to to shine. The ones who are not campaigning? Isn’t time we stop with the politics and back door deals? Isn’t it time for kids like Addy Nyemchek to be rewarded without having to kiss ass and jump up and down screaming look at me. Addy Nyemchek is a role model for what a McDonald All American should be and she MUST BE REWARDED. It’s time for AAU folks, EYBL folks to send a message to all kids by doing the right thing….
