FUTURE D1 GUARD…CASEY ZAMMIT IS COMING TO JERSEY LIVE
CASEY ZAMMIT, she coming off a dream freshman year and has continued to have a dream like season. She was FIRST TEAM ALL FRESHMAN last year and surprised everyone with her confidence and stellar performance. She was so good that her coach gave her the ball and let her run the show. She did not disappoint. She helped turned what was suppose to be a full blow rebuilding season into hope for the future at Holmdel. That’s because it clearly in good hands as Casey Zammit might be the next great player at Holmdel.
It’s seems every year Holmdel turns out a D1 player. From Abby Ferguson(Colgate ) to Allison Cannon (NJIT) and this year, Mackenzie Teevan (HOLY CROSS). Well if things go the way as expected, Casey Zammit will be joining them. Zammit scored 238 points as a freshman, had 50 assists and 72 rebounds. Those are stats no freshman has put up at Holmdel in recent years. What Zammit did come as a surprise to some. But what many didn’t understand was the soft spoken Casey, is a confident player who certainly believes in her talent. She also has good reason to believe. That’s because she is beyond sneaky athletic and explosive. She is a slippery offense player who can score in traffic or shoot the three. She has a real has real versatility to her game that you don’t typically see in freshman. She made 22 threes last season and went to the free throw line 42 times. See you only get this type mix when a player is crafty and skilled. Casey Zammit might have a nice rounded game right now. But she is expanding it this spring and this is what should get coaches excited.

This spring Casey Zammit played for MARY BETH CHAMBERS and the Shoreshots. She has taken full advantage of of playing for the master coach. See when you play for Coach Chambers, you know three things. 1. You’re going to learn how to play defense 2. You’re going to play the best competition 3. Your practices will be like a classroom. It clear Casey Zammit has embraced Coach Chambers teaching. She has improved her defense dramatically. She has upgraded her basketball IQ and has learned to play with or without the ball. Zammit is a natural scorer. But this spring she is upgrading her full arsenal. But more importantly she bringing to the table on game day. She has become an excellent rebounding guard this spring. She has stepped up her decision making game. In other words, she is doing the little things. Casey Zammit is starting to look like a player way beyond her years.

Next week at JERSEY LIVE college coaches are going to discover something exciting. They are going to watch Holmdel High school and realize the schools next D1 player has arrived. They will see a quick, athletic, highly competitive young player. They will see a player with a big future. One who will score 1000 points one day. A player that will be ALL SHORE one day.
