There is plenty to talk about these days. Like first the NCAA PORTAL has over a 1000 kids in it right now. This says a lot about kids, coaches and most of all the NCAA. When this all plays out. A lot of kids are going to realize they ruined their athletic careers.

AAU is heating up and it proving what I already knew. Some kids are in for a major shock. While AAU organizations have figured out that branding their team of league is the fastest way to a parents and kids ego. The players have not figured out, it’s about exposure and touches. Kids have not figured out it’s about finding an organization that features your game.

The 2028 Shoreshots are flat out a serious crew. Also stacked is the NJ GEMZ 2028 class. Combine them and you have a deep talented D1 class. The crazy part about this class is how the class as a whole has developed.

it’s shocking to me that we are three weeks out before the live period and kids are not in competitive training environments. It’s tells you kids really do not understand how the recruiting process has changed. My guess is it will take one cycle of kids before everyone catches on. The number of high school D1 players will shrink. But I believe will come back once kids discover stacking hours is the key.

I personally was told that RANNEY had real roster issues come next season. But Coach Linney took to twitter to make it clear. They have more than enough players to form a team. My guess is Coach Linney has a few transfers in mind and she certainly must believe her JV has some impact players.

The HOOP GROUP ALL SHORE FIRST TEAM, was stacked. Every player on first team is off to a D1 school or is being heavily recruited by multiple D1 and Power 5 schools.
Christina Ramos put on a show at the Shore senior game. Ramos should be heavily recruited, in fact a case can be made that she is a D1 talent too. But there is a lesson to be learned here. Pick your AAU team wisely. Make sure you train in an environment with a proven track record. But above all you need to pick the right inner circle. It’s never too late to change.

I think All Shore will look like this next year. But doesn’t it really come down to who works the hardest? Many of seniors have ruined a senior year after signing and getting comfortable.

I’m looking at the entering freshman class. There is a ton of talent. Right now Ella KRYAL is the clubhouse leader for freshman of the year. She’ll attend Trinity Hall along with Katherine McCarthy. These two should give Trinity a shot in the arm.

Yes there are two D1 transfers on the move in the shore conference. But will not have to sit, and both are All Shore Players. But until their on campus, my lips are sealed.

The NBS camp dates and Locations are up. I know it going to sound like me bragging. But camp right now more important than ever. The NBS camp lineup is the best for two many reasons to list. (Nothingbutskills.com)

2029 Avery Goldfeder has made the biggest jump of any 2029 entering high school. Just remember the improvement curve tell you all you need to know about a kids future.

Three players that just blew me away this weekend. Belle Alvarado is just taking her game to another level. Her size in my opinion is an asset. BRE ALABA of Cherokee, is a beast. Her strength quickness and size are a serious problem. This young lady has also taken her game to a new level. Finally I love Julianna Jasina of Colts Neck. Now I understand why she was 1st Team All Freshman. Her work ethic and competitiveness is pure joy to a coaches eyes. Message to D1 coaches… RECRUIT THE HELL OUT OF HER!

What’s the #1 issue I have noticed this spring? A lack of urgency by kids. They have not figured out they must watch tape and evaluate their game. They honestly believe that if they play well once, that’s the ticket… SAD!

See you can tell the kids that have listened. So many kids are now dropping highlight tapes. Folks college coaches are deep in the portal. They’re watching tape but it’s not of high school kids. The time to build your name recognition was before the portal opened. File this away before the June high school live period.

Coaches asking me once again if I have seen such and such lately. Coaches again, if you have to ask me that question, you know the answer. You’re just trying to convince yourself the kid is a worker. Let me help you out. Haven’t seen them in the gym since god knows when.

I’m just going to say it. I believe a Patriot school would be wise to give Shannon Looney a real hard look. I believe this young lady has not scratched the surface of her greatness. She plays on both sides of the ball and seems to get better each time you watch her play.

#1 reason kids don’t develop or ruin their recruiting. Listening to people with no track record pretending they’re knowledgeable. They talk about what a kid needs to do and where they should play. But forget being part of organizations with a track record for organizing, developing and accountability is the key. Now some parents will run from this but the smart ones embrace it. Not everything is going to be perfect. But it can be the right place.

Please explain this to me, a kids biggest weakness is shooting. But if they have a choice to get in the weight room or shoot. They choose the weight room every time. Why? Because they do not understand what coaches are saying and too scared to call and ask. I will never understand why a college coach at the D1 level would ever recruit a player that can’t shoot.

The Most Improved Player and Team comes out this week. That team was beyond easy to choose. That’s because we had some kids really step up
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2025 ALL SHORE TEAM MEMBERS!
