TESSA CARMAN became the 3rd RBC player this year to score 1000 points. She is only the 15th player in Coach Montano’s 40 years. For Tessa Carman it stamps her legacy. So much was expected of Tessa Carman when she arrived at RBC. She could have never lived up to the expectations. But along the way she somehow has managed to exactly that. During her time at RBC, she has never missed a game. She also has played in more games than anyone along with Christina Liggio than any player ever. The only way you do that is to win a lot of games. See winning at RBC always is more important than stats. That’s why there are only 15 thousand point scorer. You see at RBC there is no star treatment. No one player gets to dominate the ball. Nobody is taking 15-20 shots. You play the game the right way always, no exceptions. See at RBC you play for the name on the front, not the one on the back. This only makes Tessa Carman’s thousand points even more remarkable.
Most don’t know this but RBC, it is the most organized high school program maybe in the country. You expected to be on time. Be part of the weight program. Do the conditioning and watch tape. Parents know to stay away. RBC is not for everyone that’s because everyone is held to the same standard. When a RBC kid goes to college. They are prepared for just about anything on and off the court. Tessa Carman is off to Monmouth University and she will be prepared. That’s because while 1000 points is a great achievement. RBC is built on defense, it’s the identity of the entire program. Tessa Carman’s 1000 points is just the cherry on top and this makes it even more aamzing. She now is chasing two things . Another state title and a #1 ranking in the state.
TESSA CARMAN has won everything a player can win in high school. There is not much left outside of a state final #1 ranking. She has been a leader and warrior for RBC. She has been the team protector. The players and everyone relies on THE BOSS LADY. It funny the player with diabetes is the player who gets the least amount of sympathy. But Tessa is strong maybe stronger than any kid I have ever known. It’s the only way you get 1000 points when surrounded by so much talent. She has always been at her best in big games. Weather it against SJV in the state semi final oir making the winning basket in the SCT TITLE GAME. Superwoman has been known to save the day for RBC many times. But this is one personal award Tessa Carman has earned and deserves. Because RBC faithful should never forget her name and if they do…THEY CAN JUST LOOK ON THE WALL AT THE BANNERS AND 1000th point club when they need a reminder
