She certainly has the talent and skills. She is that player that is hard not to admire. That’s because of her commitment and desire. KAYLA NAVARRO is about to become a household name in New Jersey.
The first time I saw Kayla Navarro play was as a freshman at Rutgers Prep. She was one of the most competitive freshman defenders I had seen in recent years. She played with so much pride it jumped off the page. It was then on that day I knew she was going to be special. But things don’t always go the way you expect sometimes. In the case of Kayla Navarro, she decided to take her talents to St. Thomas Aquinas. The result may be that St. Thomas, just might be one of the best teams in that state and Kayla may be the player that gets them over the hump.
It’s rare when you have a point guard that is a deadly shooter and who has excellent vision. It’s a blessing when you point guard, is one of the best defenders in the entire state. But when they are unselfish and does all the winning shit. You are in a lot of ways lucky. Kayla Navarro , makes any team she plays for seem lucky. That’s because she is the real deal. She gets things done when she is on the court. In fact, she takes a back seat to no one. She just isn’t about hype. She is about producing. Something that seems to be a lost skill set. That skill set is called letting you game do the talking.
Kayla Navarro is both lighting quick and fast. She plays with such a big motor. Then she has an excellent IQ. Her feel for the game is special. Her ability to create for teammates and herself almost goes unnoticed at times. But trust me when I tell you this, the future D1 guard can play with the best of the best. The only difference is that nobody has crowned Kayla. I have seen her in the gym, and on the AAU circuit and make no mistake. She has roasted some high profile kids. This is a fact, not hype. I watched at NBS two years ago throw some big names in body bags. Kayla Navarro , after this season is going to be very popular. D1 coaches are going to discover she is the answer to a lot of problems. That’s because Kayla is not just a great teammate. She has a burning desire to be coached up.
in a era, where kids blame everyone for there lack of performance. In a time where parents make excuses and are more involved than they should. Kayla’s parents never interfere or make excuses for their daughter. It’s why Kayla is not into the blame game. She is into the winning game. She loves competition and why Kayla plays AAU for the NJ GEMZ. It’s also another reason why I believe St Thomas can play with anyone. Kayla has been in the fire vs the best. She knows what pressure looks and feels like. That because Kayla gets it and when your D1 point guard gets it, you have a chance to shock everyone.
This year is going to be a breakout year for Kayla Navarro . That’s because when you can play both sides of the ball and are more about winning than hype. You do big things and Kayla is about to do big things. She has been patient in waiting for her due. She has not been given an easy road. She has had to work hard the past 2 years to get to this point. Her sister is and was a big time D1 player. You see KAYLA has played with and against the very best of the best. Now it’s Kayla Navarro’s time to step into the spotlight. Well she has earned the spotlight and you can bet your last dollar she will deliver for St. Thomas Aquinas.
