I KNOW A FEW THINGS RIGHT NOW!

Well there are a few things I know. Like as we get deeper into the fall. Things become clearer and clearer. But what I also know, is that most don’t know is this. Once things like chemistry, player development and growth kicks in, things don’t change much doing the season. This I know to be true.

I know that these fake scouting reports are now getting downright embarrassing. The player ranking stuff is basically laughable. Some folks would be best not ranking kids. But it makes for a good business model, yet too many parents believe these ranking are real and worst, think it helps their recruiting.

I know right now that MADISON KOCIS is by far the most improved player this fall I have seen. It may because she entirely focused on her game. But more importantly she is working like she is still a desperate 7th grader. I know she is a ALL STATE FIRST TEAM PLAYER.

I know my up to the minute All SHORE TEAM is going to shock you. But I don’t share the wealth and I don’t pay attention to hype. These are the kids that are currently stepping up and more importantly most efficient. Please don’t tell, me you know different. I am going by performance

MY UP TO THE MINUTE ALL SHORE TEAM

ADDY NYEMCHECK- RBC- She is the best in the business right now

MADISON KOCIS– SJV- She will make a serious Player of Year run

TAYLOR SOLFAKANICK– SJV- So much talent and the open gym feed back has been remarkable

BROOKE MISSRY- ST. ROSE– Now she doesn’t have the hype. But make no mistake she is on this team right now

HAYLEY POSNER- RANNEY– Last week I discovered this… she is maybe the most creative scorer in the shore

CHRISTINA LIGGIO– RBC- She has slipped a bit in the last week. But she still is Top 5.

Dave Callahan is playing with house money

I know that lots of people think RFH is in full blow rebuilding mode. I say don’t be so sure about this. While the bulldogs are no longer loaded with D1 players of years ago. They still have highly competitive kids. If Erin Reid can get healthy and sophomores Grace Smith and Brooke Jaenicke keep progressing ( both are gym rats). But what they have that has to factored in the equation is their Coach Dave Callahan There is real hope for RFH fans.

I know a lot of seniors line every year are taking shortcuts. It part of the journey. But I know there are seniors in full grinding mode and it’s paying off. Pay attention to which seniors are grinding, these are teams that are going to surprise. That’s because seniors when chips.

MY CURRENT TOP 10

1. SJV– There babies are special and give Dawn the deep bench she needs to match RBC

2. RBC– For the first time in a while, something doesn’t feel or look right during the pre season

3. St. ROSE– Like it or not BROOKE MISSRY is a star. They are playing fall games like game like the National Championship

4. TRINITY HALL– It really comes down to work ethic, Hobson has it and is the leader, but will they follow her?.Do they have it? Getting Tegan Drennan back is huge

5. MANASQUAN– They are better than you think. Deeper as well, Shannon Heine looks like she is ready to be a serious factor

6. RANNEY– They are as dangerous as it gets

7. Howell– There legit, all they need is just one guard to get in the gym vs competition before the season starts

8. JACKSON MEM– They are going to be very interesting

9. RBR– The competitive nature has to show up at some point or it’s curtains. There is real talent on this roster

10. BRICK– Surprise, surprise folks!

I know the SJV underclassmen are far and away the best in the shore. The group of LISSY LYONS, BRYNN UTTER  and TATUM SHARPE  are the best sophomore group in the shore. But the freshman is straight up scary. Coach Karpell unlike last year has a deep and talented squad. SJV may bring back their pressing and players rotating in and out..like in years past

I know some kids who are making flat out bad AAU decisions. That’s because they’re getting bad advice and they are going to pay an awful price. Kids and parents only think about today and not when things matter the most… when you play U17.

I know some kids whose stock is up as in way up.

Sophia Rude is just a 7th grader. But she is without question the best young player in the shore. She is the next mega star in the Shore

I bet nobody is paying attention to the progress of one GRACE FEENEY, good lord the young lady has been in beast mode. She is going to be the apple of every coaches eye this year.

I  know there is a chance the 2027 class can be saved. But they will need a few more kids to step up. While the class lacks gym rats, it does have some talent. Think about it again , Ashley Kreiger, Tatum Sharpe, Lissy Lyons, Kylee Bean and Brynn Utter are all future D1 players. The class is slowly growing with D1 locks.

I know that East  Stroudsburg signed a ton of kids from New Jersey. The last coach there did the same thing and it cost her a job. What matters most, is recruiting gym rats with talent, not where they come form.

I know Kylee Bean will one day be one of the best post players in all of New Jersey. She has discovered competition and embracing it. The future D1 player also is in great physical shape and has a wonderful personality.

I know a lot of kids in college that are struggling. That’s because they didn’t prepare for college before arriving. That is something every kid can learn from.

I know the Shore won’t have another D1 commitment until the spring. I say two more players will join the D1 club and then that will be a wrap for the year.

RBR? Riley Wheeler is a big time student. Well folks she is just a junior. She  is without question serious talent, yup I know this after watching her vs RBC. More importantly she has been very impressive this year in tying to get in the gym and working with Patti Mabrey

See I know kids need to find out what’s missing in their game. A trainer can’t tell you this. You have to go directly to the decision makers…AKA COLLEGE COACHES and ask them, what missing in your game.
