TODAY IS ALL ABOUT COLLEGE COACHES GETTING SOME LOVE…. SO HERE ARE 5 EMERGING PLAYERS IN EACH CLASS…. These are players that coaches have not caught up to0 in the recruiting process. But make no mistake they are out growing their recruitment as I type. Some are known but are developing even more skills sets and playing lights out, since last fall. Some are unknowns who have found their way into the spotlight. All are players coaches should make a point of watching this live period. MOST HAVE OUTGROWN THEIR CURRENT RECRUITMENT!

 

 

 

THE 2024 EMERGING PLAYERS

TAYLOR DERKACK- PHILLY RISE- 6’0″- Combo

FALL PROJECTION– She had high major offers from Big East and A-10 schools

EMERGING PLAYER– Taylor Derkack’s physical  growth is only as shocking as her improved shooting range. Her  strength  along clearly moves her into Power 5 recruiting conversations. She is now the total package!

 

ELI CLARK- U17  HGSL SHORESHOTS- 5’9- Point Guard

FALL PROJECTION– She was a low major type player in the fall and was there for the picking

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– Low major schools missed the boat in a big way. Her shooting range, and total growth as a player makes her a MM+ starter at the next level

 

JOI JOHNSON- NJ GEMZ U17 (KARPELL)- 5’11”

FALL PROJECTION- She considered a under sized post player and possible D1 player and many were worried about her size

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION- She not only a D1 player with offers. She is now starting to look very much like a MM+ impact player

 

GRACE KINUM- NEW HEIGHTS U17

FALL PROJECTION- She was considered a possible D1/D2 project

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION- She dominated more big name D1 guards perhaps than any unknown player in the state. Her improved handle and all around game make her a player totally out growing her recruitment. She now is an impact Ivy Patriot type player.

 

 

 

KATIE COLLINS- NJ GEMZ- U17 (KARPELL)  

FALL PROJECTION– She had high majors offers in the fall. Her size and athletic quickness made her highly desirable.

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She has now elevated her game to new levels. Her elite shooting and footwork her  major upgrades. She is now a true point forward with elite defensive skills.

 

 

MEGAN SIAS- NJ SHORESHOTS HGSL- U17

FALL PROJECTION– Coming off a torn ACL it was a wait and see projection to start the year.

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She answered all questions this season. She is the ultimate big win with a post up favor. She is a high major recruit these days.

 

 

THE 2025 EMERGING PLAYERS

 

CHRISTINA LIGGIO- NJ SHORESHOTS U16 (CARMAN)

FALL PROJECTION– She had offers from  multiple MM+ and the Top of the Ivy and Patriot  Conferences.

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She could be the most biggest mover in the state. Her deadly jumper and overall game improvement has to have high major drooling this spring. The upgrade in her strength and game at the rim has been speical.

 

SIDNEY QUINN- NJ GYMS U16 (COYLE)

FALL PROJECTION– She had multiple D1 offers on the table from mid majors, Ivy and Patriot school

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION–  She simply has out grown the Mid Major level. Her size, skills sets at 6’2″ and work ethic is making her a serious impact high major that could knock on the P5 door with strength.

 

 

ELLA KREUZER- UNITED U17

FALL PROJECTION– She has Mid Major offers and most predicted her to land at that level

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– Right now if the bottom fell out, she is on her way to a MM+ and high Major. The athletic quickness has added strength and three point shooting Now add in elite high school  coaching and a real ability to score or handle with either hand and now you know why she is  a emerging talent, coaches dream about

 

 

JAIDA GUERRA- NJ SHORESHOTS U16 (CARMAN)

FALL PROJECTION– She for the most part a unknown to most

EMERGING PLAYING PROJECTION– She is one of the biggest surprises of the spring. She is blessed with so many tools and just needed a big stage. Now she has one and coaches are gong to be in for a treat.

 

GANDY MALOU -MAMEL- NJ GEMZ U16 (COYLE)

FALL PROJECTION–  Her size alone makes her a Power 5 recruit.

EMERGING PLAYING PROJECTION– She is not just emerging but she is becoming a force since the high school season ended. The 6’5″ athletic forward with long arms and elite cat like quickness.

 

 

 

2026 EMERGING  PLAYERS

 

GRACE FEENEY- NJ RISE (MasonIous)- 6’0″- Swing 

FALL PROJECTION-  She was considered a very talented swing player with a big upside

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She has gone from a very talented player to a Top Freshman in the Shore and one of the best in the State. She has elite size and scoring talents

 

 

ADDY PLATT- UNITIED U17- 5’10”- SWING

FALL PROJECTION– While she was known in some circles, few knew much about her

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She is now considered one of the Top 6 freshman in the state. She is without question a future D1 player. The only question is what is her ceiling? Nobody knows because she just keeps getting more and more impressive each time she walks on the floor.

 

 

MADISON KOCIS- PHILLY RISE- 5’10”- COMBO

FALL PROJECTION– She was considered a Division one player to start the year for the #4 ranked St. John Vianney

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She may be the most improved freshman in the state from the fall. Not only a deadly shooter. She has become a excellent defender and now is rushing towards 6’ft tall. She is a Ivy League Championship type starting guard. She is starting to look like the next mega star at SJV. Strong words but more than a fact.

SAMANTHA GRELLA- NJ RAPTORS- 5’11” – SWING

FALL PROJECTION– She was a possible future D1 player for IHA who helped beat the nations #4 Team SJV who had not lost a game in the state in 5 years

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– She has removed any doubts this spring about her future. She is just a warrior and is making a statement this fall by at times dominating elite freshman.

 

 

ASHLEY KREIGER– NJ DEMONS- 6’2″- FORWARD

FALL PROJECTION– She re-classed this season due to a knew injury. She will once again be a freshman next season. She was projected as a Division player

EMERGING PLAYER PROJECTION– Rich Leary her trainer calls her the next great forward in his NJ Deamon’s storied program, that endorsement alone should be enough for all. She has fully recovered and looks down right scary on video. She is looking every bit like a major star.  D1 is a fact, the reason question is at what level.
