D1 COLLEGE COACHES, YOU BETTER READ THIS…THE MESSAGE? ABBY STURM
Now if you’re a D1 college coach. You will have an opportunity, to surprise a few of your recruiting competitors. if you’re willing to listen today. I’m going to give you facts. No talk, hype and exaggerations. I’m going to do what I do better than everyone in the state of New Jersey. You can call it bragging if you want. But it’s not bragging when your track record can do your talking. Today I’m going to talk about a player that might be the biggest steal in the state before the summer is over. I’m going to tell you why and what the future holds. Today you will understand why ABBY STURM OF RED BANK CATHOLIC IS GOING TO BE IN ALL OUT DEMAND by D1 schools.
Most people don’t know what they are talking about when it comes to Abby Sturm. They don’t know her background or more importantly her desire, commitment and loyalty. That’s because to most people in AAU and high school sports, secretly don’t think these things matter. They believe it doesn’t affect development or a kids future. They use such words as punchline or meaningless conversation for show. Well it’s these things that have got Abby Sturm where she is today. Now most D1 coaches only know, she is a player at RBC, a member of the U17 Shoreshots. That’s about it. They don’t know that ABBY STURM has had lot of haters surrounding her because she decided to take the hard road to get where she is today. They all believe they knew what was best for Abby Sturm. Well this is where I come in play. This is where I educate you, the Division One coaches of the world.

ABBY STURM is a member of the of the 2027 class. What you don’t know is that ABBY STURM is just 16 years old. What you don’t know is that if ABBY STURM was in the junior or Sophomore class, where she belongs. We be calling her RBC’s next great player. We’d be calling her the best young post player in NJ. But instead what we have is people, mostly those who are unsuccessful and not knowledgeable throwing rocks. You hear it all the time. Why is she staying at RBC? They’d talk how she is ruining her recruiting. She’ll never play at RBC, they loved saying this over the years. You see those folks wanted Abby Sturm to be like them. Go to a school, maybe start 4 years, score lots of points, read their name in the papers, never win a chip, spend 4 years in non competitive practices. Let the media share the wealth and give them a few awards and pretend they have accomplished greatness. Then they’re off to college and to brag about the great education they will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for. Well Abby Sturm has bigger plans, standards and goals than her haters. It’s why she decided to attend RBC despite them having 4 D1 forwards and a McDonald All American in front of her. It also why her practices were better than all the games most teams played in her entire career to this point. Addy Sturm knows what it takes to survive around the big dogs. It also why ABBY STURM is now starting to emerge and break out. It’s been a process that few D1 Coaches get to see up close and personal because of the NCAA rules. It’s hard for the haters on the outside who tired so hard to label her to believe what is taking place these days unless they are knowledgeable. They hate she is confirmation that being around the best, playing with the best, is worth the HARD AND DIFFICULT sacrifice, so many can’t or refuse to make along their journey.

ABBY STURM, would start or be in the rotation of every school in New Jersey the past 3 years and there is not one exception, except for the school she plays at RBC. Thats because RBC has had 5 D1 older players in her position over the years. It’s this that upset folks more than anything else. They all want Abby Sturm to transfer to their school. They all wanted the 5’10” baby as a freshman who is now is 6’2” and far from done growing, she grew two inches more this season. Her dad who played at Monmouth and was a star is 6’9”. They all knew she would have that strong lower body and next level college body. Everyone knew she was a baby colt and it was just a matter of time. A matter of time before she fulfilled her promise. Well recently that time has looked more and more like it’s here. You never know when a player will hit their stride, their growth spurt. There is no magic calendar or special date, to tell you when this will happen. For ABBY STURM , the last two weeks have been magical. She is consistently doing things the past two weeks nobody could dream of her doing.

It’s hard for people to accept when a kid is out growing their peers, competition and opinions. Well that is exactly what is happening to Abby Sturm recently. All those days playing against top level competition is starting to reveal itself. Many questioned if this day would ever come. Abby has shown flashes but never has consistently brought it to the table . But these days her ability to punish players of all sizes and talent in the lane is jaw dropping. Her drop steps to the rim and spin moves are flat out breath taking. Her shot selection from the three point line highlights her shooting talent. It’s the stuff so many have been waiting for. The stuff she didn’t show during the high school season, during the recent live period or at workouts. No these days you watch Abby Sturm and say “SHE IS NOT JUST GETTING THERE… she has ARRIVED! She has arrived because she is that rare player not in the spotlight, not getting the hype, playing time and still is committed without running to easy street. She gotten here because she could take the brutal coaching and criticism directed at her in a personal manner and yet still show up. She has arrived by being the the rare versatile forward who is a GYM RAT. You see Abby Sturm has made all the right moves and she has done it knowing nothing is promised!
RUNNING the floor consistently just 3 weeks ago was a problem. Finishing vs double teams in the post was a problem just three weeks ago. Too much dribbling was a problem. Too many threes was a problem 3 weeks ago. Well these days ABBY STURM is the problem. A problem for a lots of players not wearing Shoreshots uniform. See college coaches haven’t been able to see the maturity or growth in the last few weeks, due to the NCAA non live period. They’re in for one hell of a surprise when they do get the chance. My advice is to have the scholarship papers ready. You’re going to be in a recruiting battle.. bank on it. It’s not suppose to happen this quick. It’s not suppose to happen in the shadows when nobody is watching. But the fact or the matter is this… ABBY STURM has had to play catch up after a season of playing behind 4 rock star D1 players on the 5th ranked team in the country. She needed to know and trust that being in one of the most competitive environments in the country would pay off in the long run. She was recently named the RBC TEAM CAPTAIN. This is no surprise if you know what I know. It’s no surprise if you are willing to take a deep dive into Abby Sturm’s world

There is no doubt in my mind a kid that spends 4 hours in the gym everyday with ABBY STURMS PHYSICAL GIFTS AND TALENTS, won’t shine. I’m enjoying every minute of watching this entire thing go down. I’m watching a player go from gonna be to being!!! To being special, to being a player that is dripping with confidence. Too being a player fulfilling their potential… NOT TALKING OR HOPING THEY FUFILL IT… People none of this is a surprise to me. I watched the entire thing from the beginning starting years ago, when Abby Strum was in grammar school. She has always played with energy, joy and happiness because she loves the game. While others only saw the struggle and formed opinions. Well silly rabbits leave the projections and evaluations to those with the background and track records. Leave these things to those who know what they’re talking about … MEANING PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF!… Abby Sturm is about to make some D1 coach insanely lucky!
