These days coaches have convinced themselves the portal is the answer to some of their problems. What I’m convince of these days that TATUM SHARPE can solve a lot of their problems. You see there are still some kids that move the needle in the recruiting process. Tutum Sharpe doesn’t just move the needle. She moves a program, team and culture to another level. She is that rare high school player ready to impact a contending championship team from day one. That type of kid that can put a team over the top. Why recruit transfers when you get a freshman who can effect a game in so many different ways. A player who is versatile and knows how to win!! TATUM SHARE, just may be the best thing since slice bread and winning coaches and programs, need to get a enjoy a slice.

These days the portal can be a dangerous world or it can solve a few problems. It’s a place for 2nd chances for many players. It’s also the place coaches go to to reload or in some cases save their job. There are lots of ticking time bombs in the portal and a few gems as well. You see when you’re in the portal, you never know why a kid is their. Maybe it because they want to save their career? Maybe because of playing time? Maybe it’s to make money. Maybe because they have worn out their welcome. Then again maybe, just maybe, their there to win. To be part of something bigger than themselves. The portal can be a scary and wonderful place all at once. But then again, there are still kids that you don’t have to worry about why you want them in your program. Tatum Sharpe is part of the rare dying breed of high school players who are ready for college from day one. You see Tatum Sharpe is old as in real old in basketball years. She is rolling into her senior year at SJV and she has seen it all and done it all at the highest level. She knows what it’s like to play on the biggest stages agains the biggest stars, the ones you watch on TV during the NCAA season. She knows what it’s like to win the big championships and what it feels like to come up short. She knows what the thrill of winning feels like and the agony of defeat feels like. This has prepared her for anything at the next level. It’s why she may be more ready to help a team win a Chip than just about anybody in the entire New Jersey 2027 class.… these are facts!!!

SJV is known for it players impacting at the D1 level from day one. Their kids go to college and become , PLAYERS OF THE YEAR, FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR, ALL CONFERENCE AND ALL FRESHMAN. Just go check the record. It hard to find a SJV player that is not on a championship winning team or playing a major role. That’s because SJV players are basically in a college environment in high school long before hitting a college campus. Tatum Sharpe has played against and with the best since entering high school. She knows at SJV a competitive nature is what separates them from most, even in college. You see at SJV they don’t get stats, they get championships. They play to win games not to get personal glory. You see at SJV they understand sacrificing for the team and each other is what makes the journey successful and fun. It why they all SJV players excel in college. They are use to adversity and they know how to handle success. They are a different breed and Tatum Sharpe just be more different than any player in recent years to attend the school. She just doesn’t have the media attention that others have had over the years.

These days the game of basketball has changed. Versatility and player development are now the most important things in predicting the future. Tatum Sharpe is 6’0+, long, strong, competitive and as versatile as they come. She can defend all 5 positions in high school and will be able to defend no less than 4 in college. She can play all 5 positions on offense and will be able to play as least 4 at the next level. I have a question, name a player in recent years that you know can play 4 positions equally well in high school and then will be able to do it at the next level? See this is what makes Tatum Sharpe different than almost any player in the entire state of New Jersey. It’s her ability to play any role in a dominate fashion at any time. She can give a team, coach or program what they need and do it in award winning fashion. It’s why wherever Tatum Sharpe ends up in college, they will certainly win a championship.

Tatum Sharpe plays AAU for United, she is coached by Joe Gaba. One of the best coaches in all of New Jersey. She plays at SJV one of the best programs in the entire country. She plays for Dawn Karpell one of the best coaches in the country. She trains with Eric Myrick one of the best trainers in New Jersey. It funny but every time you mention the name Tatum Shapre the word best seems to always be near the conversation. Tatum Sharpe was First Team All Defense this year. She seems to always guard the best of the best. Players like McDonald All American Addy Nyemchek. She respects all but understand she has a job to do. She has turned herself into one of the best corner three point shooters in New Jersey. A weapon that will serve her well at the next level. She has a case as the best offensive rebounding guard in the state. You be hard pressed to put anyone in her class. She is one of the best at filling lanes in transition. That’s because she is not in great conditioning. She is the best conditioned player in the Shore and that is not even worth a debate folks. It why she can play so hard for so long for a extended period of time. Yes, Tatum Sharpe in many ways is a unicorn. She also does the “WINNING SHIT” all the time. Both on and off the court. Just look at how her body has changed in the last 3 year. Look at the type of student she is… we talking about the type of student that can walk into a Ivy or Patriot schools front door regardless if she was a basketball player of not!

There are kids that you just know are going to shine at the next level. Not just because of their talent. But because of their journey and there experience along the way. Tatum Sharpe has had a master class in preparing for the next level. She is old in terms of basketball years. She has the mind and toughness of a senior in college. We throw words like this around like a punch line these days, to hype kids. But in the case of Tatum Sharpe these words are real and carry weight. There is no dobut in my mind Tatum Sharpe will be a major impact player the day she walks on a college campus. I know when adversity hits, she will rise above it; Not run, blame of complain. I know when she has success she will not be satisfied. I know she will put her team and coaches first always. I know that …TATUM SHARPE WILL BE STAR PLAYER, PERSON AND STUDENT
