MESSAGE TO COACHES… LIZZY MITCHELL IS BACK BETTER THAN EVER

THE NBS ELITE CAMP kicks off tomorrow. This camp is a final chance for many players to make there mark this summer. It’s also a time for players to just start their fall training and to get ready for the open gym period. But more than anything NBS is a place where a kid can change there future. LIZZY MITCHELL of St. Rose is simply trying to remind college coaches not to forget about her.

Last week I got my friend look at Lizzy Mitchell, since she tore her ACL and missed her most of her sophomore year and her entire junior year and then the Live recruiting period for a 2nd consecutive year. Mitchell was coming off a block buster freshman season when she suffered her injury. She was clearly one of the best freshman in the shore Conference. She was on the Early Bird Division One list. She had big nights as a freshman scoring as many as 23 points in a game. But on top of her dynamic shooting ability. She had already become a top flight defender. It seemed nothing could stop Lizzy Mitchell. The truth of the matter, it was just a matter of time before she would sign with a D1 school one day. That is until her injury and everything changed…. UNTIL NOW!

Lizzy Mitchell, may feel like a forgotten women these days. That because in the world of recruiting out of site, means out of mind. The college coaches have seem to forgotten about Lizzy Mitchell. She’s only been gone for a year. But in recruiting, that’s a lifetime. So Lizzy Mitchell is trying to find her way to light. This week at NBS will be a start to this return. She will be in a gym packed with D1 players . Some committed and some with offers on the table. She will try to remind college coaches she was once thought to be one of the best in the 2025 class. Now she’ll remind them of what and who she was before her injury. One of the most complete young guards in the shore. One the played on the 2025 Shoreshots team of all D1 players. She was once of thought to be one of those D1 players. This week for Lizzy Mitchell is about going down memory lane. This week at NBS INVITE is about making a statement. That statement is simple, Lizzy Mitchell is back and better than ever.

Most kids coming off a ACL need time to gain confidence to find there game. But when a kid during the rehab works harder that those who are healthy, they can come back not with just confidence but a stronger game. College coaches are going to be asking who is that next week. That’s because they will not recognize Lizzy Mitchell. She is shockingly bigger and stronger. Her physical development is dynamic. The strong upper body, strong legs and powerful hands throw you off, if you have not seen in her in a year. The result has led to a more athletic and quicker player. When you add this to her shooting skills that can rival anyone in the state. You get something we expected 3 years ago when Lizzy Mitchell arrived at St. Rose as a freshman.

Lizzy Mitchell shooting range and ability to get to the rim with such force is about to shock college coaches. In fact I believe the biggest question of the summer after this week is going to be where did she come from? Well she was never gone. She just got side tracked. She just fell out the spotlight. But that is about to all change. That’s because LIZZY MITCHELL is back and college coaches are going to see what they been missing. Lizzy Mitchell has had to grind mentally and physically to make it back. She never took anything for granted and just made up her mind to outwork the world. She was determined to pass every test in front of her. To go though, around or over any road block. So that’s what she did and everyone, college coaches, players , teammates and fans are about to see … A RETURN TO THE SPOTLIGHT
