RBC has clearly found there mojo. They are cooking right now. They have left the three point shooting to their shooters. Addy Nyemcheck is acting like the PLAYER OF THE YEAR. The Liggio sisters are on fire and the RBC bench has been lights out. Sophia Smith was medicine for Rbc last night versus SJV and DANIELA MALETSKY both on her super woman cape. Lola GIORDANO was wonderful off the bench. Tessa Carman has passed on three’s recently and has pounded the glass. RBC looks like what we thought they could be right now
SJV. lost round one to RBC. But the Lancers are rolling. Stellar Lockhart has been spectacular and Taylor SOFILKANICH has been dominating in the paint lately. Freshman Antonia Jackson has shown she could play a major role down the stretch. The key to this entire thing is Madison Kocis. She must be at her best if SJV wants a SCT and State title. The RBC bench is starting to look like a weapon. They are going to be there in the end. One way or another.
MANASQUAN is on a run and that’s because they have their health back. Olivia SHAUGHNESSY has gutted it out. Shannon HEINE has returned and brought all her intangibles with her. Grace Love and Jordyn Holloway have picked up the scoring. Meanwhile Kayden Clark is looking very comfortable these days. Shannon Looney has been a major shot in the arm. Shea Donnelly has been 1st Team All Shore good… this is a dangerous crew
ST. ROSE has been on fire. But after their win over SJV they had a target on their back. Then ran into Manasquan. A healthy and tough minded Squan crew mad them pay the price. The good news is that it was on the road. Cassidy Kruesi has been playing like a senior on a mission. Jada Lynch has had a PLAYER OF THE YEAR type season. Belle Alvarado has been the team blood and guts. Caroline Conforti, has been more than anyone could have expected. Brooke Missry is the team rock. Lizzy Mitchell gets more confidence by the game. Chrissy Hatfield has been masterful. St. Rose has exceeded all expectations to this point and clearly wants more.
RANNEY is on a mission. Since Michelle Steele has joined the party, they have been lights out. There not just beating teams. They are destroying them. The crushed Top 20 Trinity Hall and everyone else in there path. The scary part is Emily Cavanaugh is still out. Who is not out, is Ashley KREIGER and Hayley POSNER. Both have been a handful on both ends of the floor. Katelynn Linney has her team clicking. Everyone has a role and are playing it to perfection. Lola Macrae has been rock steady and the secret sauce. Freshman LUCY EIBELER has surprisingly been spectacular. Nobody wants to see this crew right now. They have won there last 5 games by over 20+ points, in just about every game. Scary stuff right now.
TRINITY HALL is still waiting on Teagan Drennan. But no worries because Grace FENNEY is playing as well as anyone in the Shore Conference. She has simply been spectacular. But not alone because Whitney Hobson has stepped up in a major way this season. Stapleton and Lily Riggi have been more than reliable during this rough time of the year. The Freshman Allison McAndrew is getting way more confidence. She could be a true wild card. They most likely will get back into the STATE Top 20 and there dangerous
RED BANK REG, what have they done to drop? They played RBC and RBC was a cornered animal at the time. Then got SJV when they were trying to make a statement. We call that bad timing. What is not bad timing is Coach Truhan has a crew that can win a state title. They also could play spoiler because they get RBC and SJV again. That’s a lot of time for a JT Coached team to prepare. Polloway has been great and all the RBR guards seem to be stepping it up.
HOWELL is beating everyone there supposed to and there doing it in a big way. Kylee Bean cannot play any better. She has been golden all year. Kiera McKown has been wonderful. The senior is a walking double double and defensive wall in the lane. BELLAROSE MARINO has been just want the doctor ordered in the backcourt. She is getting buckets. Freshman OLIVIA QUINONES has shown real flashes. She could be a difference maker late. Payton Smith has squeezed every ounce of energy and talent out of her body. She has been wonderful to this point. ASHLEY SMITH has been a rock. This crew has to believe it can move up in the ranking and thinking STATE TITLE
BARNEGAT has to be rewarded. They have answered the bell in a major way. The best team in Ocean has been led by EMMA THORTON the new AllTime Leading Scorer in school history. Not to mention the 1,000 rebounds and RILEY Fitzpatrick. The two seniors have led the charge.
RUMSON FAIR HAVEN is showing some real backbone. They got mauled by RBC and SJV but bounced back and held their ground with two wins. Grace Smith is becoming a feel good story. She has been a force this season. Both in the box score and shockingly on defense. Erin Ried has had her moments. SYLVIE NOTINE has certainly done her part averaging 10 points , 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Brooke JAENICKE has been more than expected. Folks do not kid yourself Coach Callahan has something up his sleeve. Because his teams this time of year always get better… making RFH dangerous
