NBS CAMP KICKS OFF ON MONDAY!

This Monday 40 players will attend NBS. Most if not all will wear a D1 uniform one day. The NBS summer camp is the most competitive game in New Jersey. It’s a chance for a kid to be on even ground and show their talents. But more than all that, the NBS camp is a way for a kid to jump start their up coming season. To set the tone before going off to college 8 months later. A chance to start dreaming big

Too many kids have thrown away their summer. Many talented players choose to focus on AAU, meaningless showcase and a unwillingness to do the hard stuff. There is a price to be paid for such decisions. I recently watched the FORT SUMMER LEAGUE games and wondered why can’t kids and parents see the truth? Well I guess it hard to see the truth when you having fun and chasing status. Next week at NBS chasing status will not matter. Reputations won’t matter. The only thing that will matter is your performance. Next week kids will get truth. They will be told what scholarship offers are real and which ones are not. Their ego and self esteem will be tested. That’s because NBS is truth medicine.

There will be kids that duck NBS. They will have there reasons. Many will circle back after they realize their recruiting has suffered and look for a lifeline. It’s an old story. Many will skip because they have committed. These are kids most dangerous to a coaches career. Then there will be those who simply will not want to spend the money. They will try to get there on the cheap, it never works. Whatever the reasons it’s a personal decision. But the one thing about NBS that will never change is that if a kid stays the course and are willing to trust. No program has delivered more over and over again.

So Monday a competitive environment for kids to measure themselves will begin. On Monday a kid can truly know if they have taken another step. On Monday college coaches get to know which kids matter. Who is trying to play TRICK A COACH and who is trying to truly make an impact and earn their respect. It’s for these reasons the NBS CAMP HAS NO MATCH
