RBR’S KRISTEN CONNORS… NO TRICKS… JUST TREATS THESE DAYS!

it’s Halloween and Junior guard Kristen Conners of RBR is no trick. She has clearly been all treats this fall. The sharpe shooting guard has been waiting for a chance for two years and this could be the year, she gets her opportunity. That’s because right now she is go mode, in the sense that she is ready to go make an impact this season in a big way.

Two years ago it looked like Kristen Connors was on her way to big things. She was on an incoming freshman on a team that had just lost some very talented guards. It was a chance for her to make an impact immediately on the RBR. But somewhere along the line things didn’t work out that way. She barely played and like any kid who doesn’t get minutes her confidence suffered. But the one thing Kristen Conners didn’t do was pout, complain and blame. Her parents weren’t pain in the asses, making excuses and creating drama. They encouraged her to stay focused and work. So Kristen continued to work and keep an all important positive attitude. Then last year things got real rough when not only did she not see limited time but she got few opportunities to boot. But once again despite the disappointment, Kristen Connors continued to work. She continued to stay in a positive mindset. It’s why this year she appears to be ready to have a breakout season.

This summer Kristen Conners played AAU for John Mayo and the CJ HAWKS. She received lots of valuable minutes but more importantly regained some of her confidence. Then she started training with Pati Mabrey. It gave her a new perspective and improved her skill sets. So much that she has gone from a stand still three point shooter to more of an all around guard. Her ball handling skills have seen a major upgrade. This has really complemented her dynamic shooting touch to 25ft. But It’s been her post passing that everyone is missing. Her post passing has made life easy for the 6’3” Caroline Polloway. It also has given RBR that guard they can do more then shoot three’s. Kristen Conners has stepped up her game. It could not be coming at a better time. That’s because RBR has a chance to win a state title this year and it may come down to there guard play. Kristen Connors is just what the doctor ordered.

This fall Kristen Conners, has checked all the boxes. She is in the weight room, she trains with her trainer during the week and on weekends. She is a mega student as well. But none of that matters if you don’t preform on the court. These days she is not just performing, she is excelling. She has had some big nights in the fall league. She has hit some big shots and made some big plays . You see Kristen Connors is finally fulfilling her potential. She is proving that all that was missing was an opportunity. Right now she is taken full advantage of her opportunities. Her confidence is high and she is cooking these days.

Giving up and quitting is so easy to do these days. Taken the easy road is all the rage. But it’s what a kid does when the chips are down that tells you what a kid is all about. Kristen Conners is going to make for a very good college basketball player one day, if not for one reason only… “SHOOTING MAKES UP FOR A MULTITUDE OF SINS” at the next level. Good teammates and good people are hard fine. Kids who are willing to walk thought the fire of disappointment are dam near impossible to find these days. There are rare… LIKE KRISTEN CONNORS. Folks hear me loud and clear this young lady is going to have a big year and she’ll do without being selfish or greedy for the spotlight. She’ll do it by being mentally tough and never looking for easy street… SHE HAS EARNED ALL THE GOOD COMING HER WAY!

NEXT THURSDAY AND FRIDAY!
