SHORE CONFERENCE: TOP 10/AWARDS

THE TOP TEN has some movement at the top. There is a new #1. There was only two Top 10 games opening weekend. This week we have a full slate of games.

ST. JOHN VIANNEY– rolled over two established programs in Grandview and CARDINAL O’Hara. SJV looked sharp and like a tight unit. Madison Kocis was spectacular all weekend and the leading scorer over the weekend and Game #1 PLAYER OF THE GAME. Stellar Lockhart was the game #2 PLAYER OF THE GAME. SJV is playing with a real sense of urgency and got real contributions up and down the roster. They right now, clearly look like the team to beat.

RED BANK CATHOLIC – Coach Joe Montana has to be concerned. They got dominated vs Rutgers Prep in there scrimmage last week. The energy level and focus has to be a concern. Especially since Montclair Immaculate played them even up without two starters. They remain at two but St. Rose and Manasquan are breathing down their neck.

ST. ROSE – They look like a scary group this weekend. They share the ball and have so many high percentage shooters. Jada Lynch’s passing elevates her teammates and Coach Chrissy Hatfield has full control. They are a serious contender right now.

MANASQUAN- They manhandled TRINITY HALL on the road in a sold out gym. Olivia Shaughnessy and Shea Donnelly were off the charts on both sides of the ball. They beat Trinity without D1 guard and defensive wiz Kayden Clark.

RED BANK REG– They get a very dangerous Brick TWP tomorrow. They are ranked in the state TOP 20

TRINITY HALL- They got roughed up by Manasquan at home. The good news is Whitney Hobson appears ready to handle the Point guard duties and Tegan Drennan is on the way soon. Trinity showed no quit vs Manasquan all night. They even cut a 14 point Manasquan lead to 4 with 3 mins left. A good sign to say the least

RANNEY- Hayley Posner had 25 points and Ashley KREIGER had 21 points vs SADDLE RIVER DAY in a lost. They are waiting on Michelle Steele and then they should become a problem for all

NEPTUNE– They open up this week. There is enough talent to hold on to this spot. Christina Ramos is locked in like few have seen her.

JACKSON MEMORIAL– They open this week vs Matawan. There non conference schedule is cupcake city. But there conference games are real and what they will be judged by… game two is Manasquan

PT BORO– SURPRISE, SURPRISE and the schedule sets up nicely where they should be able to stick around for a while.
